My next incentive just arrived...

wow.. I'm a happy girl :D My next incentive has just arrived via a phonecall.

The one I'm aiming for at the moment is to get as much weight off as I can before I go and see Metallica on 28th Feb. Then we have a family weekend for my MIL's 60th birthday on the 21st March and now my latest.. lets shift a load more weight makes me happy.

Hubby is a biker (obsessed) and as some of you may know I'm a very keen (amateur) photographer. We often combine the two. Every year we go to the Northwich Thundersprint (huge huge bike and biker event). Hubby drools over the bikes and I take photographs.

I received an email from one of the Thundersprint organisers. He has seen my photographs of last year's Thundersprint on my website and was very impressed and the photographs are excellent (he said).

He has asked me to cover this year's Thundersprint photographically. I will get a press pass (access all areas) including trackside to photograph whatever I want, and he definately wants some photographic coverage of the Ducati's woooh! All he wants in return is a CD of photographs of the weekend. YAY!! OK, so I'm not getting paid for it, but I really don't care. We were going anyway and I get to go places the general public can't. And more than that.. to me anyway (which hubby can't understand) I get my name known. I will get all credits on my photographs when they are used publicly, and I'm happy with that :D

I did have a giggle on the phone though. He said, I hate to ask this, but I want to give you an official race weekend t-shirt and I need to know your chest size :8855: I told him it would be better to wait until nearer the time as I won't know what size I'll be till then as I'm losing weight. He said phew, thank god for that. You can tell my wife when you know what size you'll need. He said he hates having to ask women their chest size.. he's old fashioned.. lol, bless him

So... I can't be waddling around a biker event looking all official and fat. ooooh, all those bikers and leather... [swoon] :8855:

so... how much can I shift before May the 10th?

thats amazing!!!

No idea about how much you could loose but I am sure you will be 100% determind now to get as much as possible off!!

Well done!

ooh that sounds fab! congrats on your photos! must be impressive!

well i want to lose as much weight as possible by june. I dont really want to set a specific target - im just gonna work as hard as possible! Ideally i want it to be more than 3 stone, which is ambitious, but i have a lot to lose so im hoping its achievable!

You could get off a good 2stone in that time, dont you think? how much dya wanna get off in that time?

sounds like its gonna be loads of fun though! woooop!

I just counted up, it's 16 weeks until the Thundersprint. I have averaged 2.5lbs a week loss so far, so say 2 lbs a week is another 32 pounds off.. so just over another 2 stone. I'd feel much better walking among bikers another 2 stone lighter LOL, especially if I'm accosting them all for photographs - yay! I'm allowed to do that LOL, the organiser said so ... woohooo

Ooh wow that is a fantastic opportunity. Great chance to get your name known for your photography. Good luck with it all and good luck with you're weight loss. Great incentive

WOW, you must be good lol! That's great, I bet you both can't wait! You could have lost about 2st for then I'd say, if you stick to plan and exercise? What an incentive though! Why don't you put up some of your pics that got you reconised in the 1st place from last year, as a reminder? Like in the kitchen or somewhere you will see at moments you are about to eat something off plan? Best wishes x

Wow, what a FANTASTIC opportunity!!!!

You must be good if they have asked for you personally, so go you!! :D

That should give your confidence an incredible boost and whatsmore this will be an incentive to do well on the eating plan and watch those pounds fall off.

Congratulations and well done x

What a brilliant incentive Annie, our family are really into bikes (got our own Motorbike business) and our eldest goes to Thundersprint every year (we have to work) its also televised and our son somehow is filmed (spectating) every year so we Sky+ it and do a sort of Wheres Wally looking for him, know exactely what you mean about being lighter when walking around as i always felt much bigger than i was wearing all my bike gear, havent been out yet since i lost the weight, got to buy new stuff, even my helmet is too big :8855:. You will do it no problem. Well done. xxx Loobylou

Wow that is amazing, i am so proud of you hun, just think everyone will see your great work!! And what an incentive to lose weight, you can do it !!! xxx

Thanks very much everyone, I'm still grinning about it and your comments make me feel even better.

One of the photographs the guy really liked, was not from the Thundersprint, but one I took of my hubby on one wheel (on a private road ;) This one was printed in a photography magazine :D

The bike pics from Thundersprint are about half way down.

Looby, LOL at playing spot your son. it's a shame you can't get there, the atmosphere is great and I've never seen any trouble in the 4 years we've been going.

Annie, just popped in to your'e website and iv'e got to say your'e photographs have blown me away, OMG they are awesome. I can see why you got that call from the Thundersprint organiser. xxx

Thanks Looby :D I'm just an amateur who takes pics for pleasure LOL. I do love the bikes and car racing at Oulton Park too. I was quite flattered tbh, the guy asked me if I did photography for a living. I said no, I'm just a housewife that likes to take photographs LOL

Well they look to me like they were taken by a professional photographer. I'm really impressed. xxx

Well done you!!

When I read your firt post, I was scanning trough the first bit & had to read it again...thought you were taking MIL to see Metallica!!! LOL Imagine that!!

Annie, I too am a biker, but havent ridden now for a while, due to having 2 more children. My bike sits in wait for my return.

I have never heard of Thundersprint, will have to look out for it.

Well done :))
