I have not had it but im sure it will taste very nice, it sounds it..

I haven't eatne meat for years so always make sheperds / cottage pie with quorn. I think it tastes fine but then I can't remember what the meat version tastes like. My hubby eats it though as he is a meat eater. I always put a tin of tomato in mine to add moisture. Quorn tastes better if it is cooked slowly as it absorbs the other flavours so leave it to simmer if you have the time. Hope it goes ok.

Ive tried it instead of mince in a few things, it has a softer texture I find adding a tbsp of gravy granules helps (3.5 syns) gives it a bit more flavour. Hope it goes well!

I make it with chicken bovril and add plenty of herbs and seasoning. Just before you put it in the oven top it with slice leek and a HE of cheese - yummy x

I find it really bland and have to add 3 stock cubes to make it taste of anything. It's easier to digest, and lower in calories, but I'd rather have steak mince.

The best meat alternative in my opinion is Linda McCartneys frozen veggie mince (free food too). There is no aftertaste like with quorn and it cooks really well straight from the freezer. I had a really yummy shepherds pie tonight made with it and can't recommend it highly enough. It was on offer in sainsburys last time I got it at half price so its worth checking out.

I checked it on lifeline online and her frozen veggie mince which is the one I buy is free food. I paid 89p per pack.
