Lost too much on week 1??

Hello!

I have completed week 1 of my diet and I'm shocked to see I've lost half a stone. I should be pleased I think but I'm more concerened. To me that is quite a bit to have lost in 1 week. I am on rosemary connoley diet and I aimed to lose 2 - 3 pounds a week.

I'm worried that next week I won't lose nothing. I should be pleased I have lost weight but I'm just worried :(

Yeah I thought I'd lose a bit on the first week but I wasn't expecting more than 3 pounds.

I did exercise along the way which I have never done before.

Tonight I'm going to have a little treat :)

 
Well on LL they say your first week's losses will be the biggest because they are your glycogen stores going. They liken glycogen to your fridge stores and fat stores to your freezer stores. Your body uses the fresh stuff first, then the fridge stuff then the freezer stuff. And glycogen weighs a few pounds in total I think.

So don't worry, your weight loss will even out.
 
I have always found on any diet plan you lose the most in the first week. Congratulations though, it isn't too fast for your body otherwise you'd have not lost as much. :D
 
If you continue at this pace of weightloss over the next few weeks I'd be concerned. But as others have said, for your first week it's normal to lose more than normal.
 
As everyone has said first weeks losses are usually the best whatever diet youre on. Even if you only lose 1lb this weeks thats still 8lbs over 2 weeks, pretty good by anyones standard :)
 
Well this week I dropped 2 pounds ! I only did 2 days exercise from 7 and I had some sneaky treats along with alcohol.

Today I started again proper and I did 1hr 15 mins of exercise dvd cause it was raining. I really enjoyed it so am gonna to do it every morning.
