Morning All
Up early this Saturday morning - have not managed to get on site much this week but have read quite a few posts.
Have had a good week and hoping for a loss on Tuesday at WI - need to get rid of Christmas and New Year gains.
Great to see many new names.:)
Just a day of housework, washing etc for me,:p but this will keep me busy and away from nibbling as I do tend to struggle at a weekend. I have as Asda delivery due later this was one of my new year 'plans' to be more organised and after a week at work the last thing we want to do is go shopping!!!!
I am sticking to my Green plan EE was not for me.
BF - Mushrooms on Toast
Lunch - Spicy Thai Butternut Squach soup (home made)
EM - Not yet decided but possibly a curry.
Have a great day everyone.

Have a good day :)

I am off to Nottingham for the weekend to see my uni friend and do a spot of window shopping/boozing!!!

I have started doing the Asda online shop now as well, is fab after a big week at work to have it all just turn up on the doorstep :)

Sacked off EE too, I miss my babybels lol!! Green and red work for me so feel no need to change a good thing, and if want chilli and rice together, I have a quorn one or use my HEXBs, and on a red day, have potatoes and pasta as HEXBs so not too fussed about 'missing out'.

Have a fabtastic weekend :):)

Can I ask? (we live 17 miles from asda but they will deliver) do you get your veg from them? And are the veg in good condition? I'd love to have everything delivered, it would probably save me money as I wouldn't impulse buy!

ooh irene, that soup sounds lovely! if you don't mind would you be able to give me the recipe? only if its not too much trouble!!
How much dya pay for asda delivery?
:) xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Both
Well Asda delivery arrived and a slight problem the frozen - wasn't. I rang them and explained and they are bringing replacements at 5pm which is okay. I must say this is the first time this has happened. My fruit and veg have always been great - any problems you just ring them, I have only ever had to return bread rolls which were out of date.
Asda delivery charge varies think between £3.50 and £5. I have an Asda CC which if I spend over £99 gets me free delivery.
Log onto the Asda website and if you put in your postcode it tells you if they deliver to your address.
I was in Tesco's yesterday (Asda don't sell quorn roast) and I picked up a leaflet on their delivery service there is an offer on your first deliver £10 off I am going to give that a go next and see which is best.
The soup which I didn't make (butternut squash which I had bought a while ago was mouldy) So had JP with tuna instead.
Recipe: Thai Squash Soup
Low fat cooking spray
600g Butternut squash - peeled and roughly chopped
1 large onion
2 sticks celery
15g fresh chopped ginger
2 - 3 cloves garlic
2 tsp Thai 7 spice powder
600ml veggie stock
Handful fresh coriander - chopped or I have use dry.

Spray a large pan with low fat spray and saute the onion, clery, ginger and garlic for 5 - 6 mins.
Add the Thai 7 spice powder and the squah and stir together. Pour in the stock, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 mins or so until the veg are soft.
Throw in the coriander, pour soup into blender and liquidise. Season to tast and serve with more coriander. Enjoy.
Tonight for tea I am making Lentil Chilli - it is a recipe from my SWC.
