Hello & Success?

Hi, I'm a newbie... I found this site looking for information on VLCDs which has been suggested/recommended to me by my G.P. as since having my second baby, my BMI has hit a scarily high 43.

Luckily in my area they run a program through the surgery, so I will just pay for my food packs. The program is called 'Success' - has anyone tried it? I assume it is much like Lighter Life.

Feeling nervous but excited about it... due to start next week, does anyone have any tips to share?

Looking forward to getting to know you all...

Welcome, sorry not heard of 'success' so can't really help, just wanted to say good luck.

Hi, I am a newbie as well and have just started a VLCD this week. I am doing Exante Inc, but I am sure it's very similar to all of the others. I don't have weekly counselling but have telephone support. This suits my lifestyle.

I am on day 5 and finding it ok. I really thought I would struggle, but haven't really. When I think things like "why am I doing this" I remind myself by looking at my fat picture.

I have put copies of the fat picture in places I will see it, such as in the food cupboard, in the fridge and above the kettle, so I am always reminded of why I am doing it.

A have three friends that have done LL and they have lost 3, 5 and 7 stones doing it. So these diets certainly work.

I didn't know that some doctors surgeries do them. That's good. Would be interested to know how they taste.

Good luck with your diet.

Thanks for your replies!

I have an appointment with my G.P. on Tuesday, so I'm hoping to get started ASAP after that. I think my head is in the right place for doing it, so fingers crossed it won't be too difficult.

I have only ever done Weight Watchers type diets before and I always give up after losing a couple of stone because it just seems to take so long... I hope the speed of loss on a VLCD will keep me motivated!

About to begin lipotrim .............. Will you help???

:)

Going for my first appointment this afternoon for Lipotrim. Met a friend last week who has lost 5 stone using this VLCD. I did something imilar years ago but only for a week. This sounds like a good way for me to lose weight. Gave up smoking 7 months ago and have gained more weight.

How do people get on when they are cooking for family? That is the only problem I can think of at the mo? I think there will be many ..... but will start with this one!!!

Wish me luck
