My new year plans for better losses

Focused & goin for goal!
I posted this in another thread but I'm keen to be thinking of positives and the other thread was me having a moan. I was moaning at a poor weight loss last week and trying to turn it around to think about what I was going to do for a good loss.

Today is the start of my 11th week... I cant believe how quickly it has gone!!

Yesterday I set myself some targets. I thought I'd post my progress (even though it's just one day in)

1) move on to 'proper' chicken to have with my lunch. (this was because I'd been using packaged chicken last week and didnt realise it was full of other rubbish which would screw up my weight loss).
DONE THIS - COOKED A CHICKEN BREAST AND WEIGHED OUT 2Oz OF 'PURE' CHICKEN.

2) drink lots more water (have been probably having 2.5 - 3 litres... will try to up this to 4-5 litres per day).
DRANK A FAIR BIT SO FAR TODAY. SO FAR UP TO 8 LARGE GLASSES FULL OF LOVELY H2o - THAT'S 4 LITRES. WILL EASILY BE ABLE TO DRINK ANOTHER 2 GLASSES BETWEEN NOW AND BED.

3) start walking to work and back (not far only about 10mins or so but every little helps!).
ERM... WELL I'VE MADE A START - WALKED TO WORK. HAD TO WALK HOME AGAIN AT LUNCH BUT IT WAS REALLY RAINING HARD SO A FRIEND DROPPED ME OFF AT HOME AND I USED THE CAR AFTER THAT. TOMORROW I WILL WALK BUT WEAR MY BIG RAIN MAC.

4) start doing a little blast on the cross-trainer at least every other day for about 10mins.
YES!! DONE THIS!! GOT HOME FROM WORK AND DECIDED THAT I WOULD EXERCISE FOR THE DURATION OF 4 FUNKY TUNES ON MY IPOD - ROCKED AWAY TO 4 TRACKS OF THE FRATELLIS NEW ALBUM WHICH I GOT FOR XMAS AND THAT WORKED OUT AT 13MINS AND 30 SECONDS. I'LL DO THIS EACH DAY AND THEN MOVE UP TO 5 TRACKS WHEN I FEEL READY.

5) this is the hardest but I've been thinking about it for a while.... get swimming!!! I HATE it because of having to get to the baths, getting by wobbly butt into a costume, and getting wet! But it's good for me and I think the idea of it is worse than actually getting on with it!
NOPE... CAN'T REALLY FACE THIS JUST YET. I NEED TO GET INTO THE SWING OF BEING BACK AT WORK AND WILL MAYBE START NEXT WEEK

So, that's 4 out of five. Not too bad. Even though I feel I've not had a good weight loss, I've had so many comments at work today (just got back after the xmas hols). People were saying about how much I had lost over xmas and that I was disappearing!! I can't believe it! 6 people during the course of the day had made the point of coming over to me and saying how much thinner I'm looking. I usually get a bit shy and start saying 'no, no, I've not lost that much only a few pounds'. But I've been thinking about this. Because so many people have commented today I'm thinking maybe I actually HAVE lost the weight but the scales are not showing it?!?!?! Not sure why. I seem to have only lost 3.5lbs since xmas eve which I wouldn't have thouht would have been so obvious but maybe I've really lost more and the scales are telling fibs  I really hope so.

I feel so much fitter and have loads more energy! This diet is fab.
I've had a lovely tea of tuna steak and veg - yummy!! I've got one more pack left and am really looking forward to it.

This week I WILL have a great loss! :p

Great post well done for what you have achieved so far. You may have had good inch loss this week - do you do your measurements? Its always great when people notice! WEll done, and can't wait to hear your loss this week.

Many thanks. I weigh in on Sunday so will let you know what the scales show!

I'm still feeling quite pleased with myself because:

1) I had a 2oz portion of tuna steak left over from last night's tea, with cottage cheese (not the horrid, evil packaged chicken I was having last week!)

2) I've drank 4.5 litres of water.

3) I walked to work and back twice today (as I had to pop home at lunch time).

4) I did 16 mins on the cross trainer tonight. I set myself the goal of working through 4 tracks on my ipod but did 5 as my fav song came on.

I cant believe how much fitter I'm generally feeling. Before doing CD I did sometimes walk to work and would be out of puff when I get there and I could only really do about 5mins on the cross trainer. I'm now almost 3st lighter and am finding things SO much easier!! I hadn't really noticed along the way because I'd not been exercising - I'm only 2 days into exercising and feel like I could run a mile!! :p I cant believe how much younger I feel (i'm 27 but at 15st I felt about 50!!)

I am SO looking forward to Sunday! :p
