Althernate day diet/Johnson Up day Down day?

Has anyone tried this diet? Basically, you eat whatever you want every other day and then fast the next to about 20 percent of calories.
 
Yes, I did it. I thought it was a great idea and I gave it a good go. I just found the low days to difficult to contend with and the up days too easy to over do!

I can understand that it may suit some, but not me!
