Just like me................

Hi TD, Welcome
I was like you last year, waiting to start LL, had to wait until mid feb.
I had more to lose though. I have lost 12stone and am just starting RTM.
As a general rule women lose about a stone a month, sometimes a bit more at the start.
For me it has been life changing.
My health (physical and mental) has improved, motivation, energy, relationships, self-esteem,confidence, job, demeanour, level of patience,so many things have improved.
I could go on, but you'd get very bored.
Suffice it to say doing LL has given me my life back after 25 years.
Look at the before and after photos if you haven't already - I fond them inspirational.
Good luck.

I found all of my group a real support. From those who only had three stone to loose and upwards. I found we all felt just as bad about being overweight. It made no difference if we were just overweight or morbidly obese (like me-I'm now 'normal'!)

I do think I was really lucky with my group. All apart from one who left half way through have got to their goal, including me who got there in November having started in March.

I've gone from a size 28 to a size 10.
I've lost 24 inches from my waist.
I've gone from a 44G to a 34D (and my boobs are still suprisingly perky!)

If you stick to it this diet WILL work for you. Remember it's your journey. Don't compare your losses to everyone else. Some loose weight consistently every week. Others will loose 1lb one week and 7lb the next (like me-weight really affected by my hormones)

I've made some really good friends with LL. Three of whom I go out with at last once every couple of weeks. I've got a great support network to help me maintain my weight too and I'm sure you'll have that too.

Remember, everyone will be there because they feel rubbish about how they look and their health and will want to have a better quality of life.

All the best with your journey. Start getting excited. You'll be a different person by the summer! xx

Fab post Rachel.
Congratulations.
Wonderful feeling isn't it?
This time last year I never ever imagined I would weigh 9 and a half stone during my lifetime again.
WOW.

Some really inspirational stories from Slenda and RoundRachel - you have both done amazing!

I'm really excited at the prospect of me wearing a size 10 this summer LOL!

Hi TC

Welcome, and good luck for your Feb STart!!

I started LL - Exactly 1 year ago tomorrow. I just completed RTM 2 weeks ago, and in the year I lost 9.5 stone. I started RTM in Sept, so it took 8 months to get to goal, and then the past 12 weeks were spent in RTM.

It is the BEST thing I have done for myself. It truly has changed my life. Well - its given me my life BACK! Lets put it that way! It is like having a second chance.

It's hardcore. But its effective. And fast. But you gotta stick to it, so commit to it, wrap your head around it and you will be OK.

It may seem daunting, and a long time without food. BUT - there is no other way to lose weight this fast other then a VLCD. Just remember it is a mere fraction of the time sepnt heavy - to get light.

ANd it is worth every single sacrifice. I have never felt better.

Good luck to you!!

Hiya hun!

I've lost 4 and a half stone since September 17th.

I haven't (so far) suffered from any loose skin and the only side effects I have properly had are feeling cold, bruising and bad breath!
