ooh thats good ...but as a nurse one BP reading is no good on it's own ...before you run off to the doc well spotted pierce x

I think its also to show you the effect of your new years resolution as not smoking, giving up fattening foods etc, so people can see the real effects its having on them.

A doctors check up is good, and if you have one of these to keep regular readings, if you notice something unusual its a good thing to say to the doc you have been monitoring yourself over the last x days, these are the readings what does it mean?

Its a great little machine for the money ! As my BP has been quite low since being on a VLCD I am really glad that I can keep an eye on it. You get to choose your cuff size too and all sizes are available. I am very pleased with it !

I bought one a few months back but find the readings come out very different. If I was to take a reading 3 times in a row every one would be vastly different.

I followed the instructions to the letter so don't have much confidence in it.

Anyone else have this problem or do you find if you do a second reading to check, it come up virtually the same???

Yes! We found the same as you. Each measurement was very different and some of them were frighteningly off the scale. We never bothered using it again and couldn't be bothered to take it back. We only bought it because we thought it would be accurate and easy to use and found it neither. However, maybe this is a new version as we bought our some time ago now. But it was from Lloyds for a tenner.

No, mine seems to be ok, there is a very slight difference between the readings if I do them consecutively but nothing much and the readings on each arm are different but it does tell you to look out for that. Bought mine in November 2006.
