Starting CD tomorrow! Another one!

WW newbie:)
Hi everyone,
I am starting CD tomorrow, the 810 programme as is it is my first week. I have an 'oh my god - no food??? What am i thinking?!' thing going on, even though i'll be having a small meal each day! I was wondering if anyone had motivational/helpful tips for me. Also, any good ideas for making the shakes? I am not sure of the best way to do these. :wave_cry: help!!!

Hi there

Good luck with CD start tomorrow :)

If you want some motivation, go and look at the before and after photos thread, there are just some amazing transformations of the guys on here on that thread.

For mixing the shakes, it is best to have a blender, even a hand one will do. If you dont use one of those, they are really difficult to mix up and can be quite lumpy. Argos are selling a really cheap hand blender for £3 something if you havnt already got one.

Hi,

Thank you for that. I do have a hand blender. If i use ice, do I add that after? And if I want hot, do I use hot water to mix, or heat afterwards in microwave? These questions probably sound really silly!!

mmmm, not sure about ice and hand blender, if I want ice I tend to put it in the big blender.

For hot ones, I tend to boil the kettle, put some hot water into a jug or whatever you are mixing in, add a bit of cold water then add the shake and mix up.

Others may do it differently.

No worries :)

The soups need to be mixed in the same way as the hot shakes really with a quick whizz with the blender. As for the porridge I mixed mine up with a fork, but I didnt like it anyway lol

hi hajis-s, when i first started CD I started on SS and i used to make all my shakes in the big blender with ice and then got tired of doing that so i got a plastic cup with a screw top lid (similar to the shaker that CDC's sell) and i now make all my shakes hot with a little cold water then top up and shake, i kinda like them with lumpy bits in too (weird... I know!).
To make porridge i usually add 2 tablet sweetners put in boiling water mix with a fork, pop in micro for 1 min and then top up with more hot water if too thick (sometimes i add a spoon of toffee n walnut after too...yum!)
I know some people can't stand the lumps in porridge and blend before putting in the micro...each to their own I suppose!!

Good luck with starting tomorrow

xx
