I just got mines today and wondered how other people were getting on if they had one. IM quite impressed. My time to get to the gym is limited,as Im working and have two wee kiddies so im here there and everywhere. So for me, to get me started the wii fit seems like a good idea. Maybe as I get fitter I will drop in a bums and tums session at the gym but not right now.:p

Hi Laura. I got my kids the Wii Fit and balance board for Christmas. Smart move hey? ;) Hehe!

Anyway it hardly left the box until yesterday (along with the Guitair Hero 3) because everyone has been full of flu over Christmas.

I had so much fun with it yesterday that I found myself exercising for over an hour (in spurts because the kids kept kicking me off it for their turn).

Not tried the yoga and muscle building sections yet but will when I get some time with it without the kids nagging for a go.

I also like the way it keeps records and allows you to set goals relating to your BMI.

Anyway, great purchase. Hope it helps you to achieve your goals.
xx

My brothers have got one and I found it was good for keeping track of your weight, but I wasn't keen on the exercises, doing it in my own living room isn't really for me, plus I feel like I'm going to fall through the ceiling! I like the graphs it gives you though. I love how you can track yourself over time and see how it goes down. :)

i love my wii fit...i do most of the ativities on it except the balence things unless im just having a laugh...dont know what id do without it as it gives me something to do during the day...can easily spend an hour on it :)

I avoid the balance ones too except the ski jump, I like that one.

My favourite is the hula hoop one. I feel that one is making a difference to my jelly belly and last night I unlocked the aerobic boxing one which was brill. My arms are a bit achy today so I was doing something right.

friend of mine is wii mad ... ended up getting the ambulance out to him last week as he was having chest pains on the wii fit ...

the driver said you could not understand the amount of people we go see cause of wii lol ... so if your doing it just do it right and dont get carried away with it ....

i unlocked the free step today on the aerobic things and its really simple..you are encouraged to do at least 800 steps on and off the wii but you can put the normal tv channels on at the same time..so if you dont want to sit on your bum while your fave tv show is on you can do steps and still watch it...i love it!

I could see that. I do yoga anyway and find some of the poses are held for quite a bit longer than we do at the classes.

Thanks for the heads up!:D

Have had our wii fit a while but havnt really been using it till yesterday, I have decided to do 30 mins a day aerobic excercise.

1. step basics : 3 mins
2. Step Advanced :5Mins
3. Free Step : 10 Mins
4. Jogging Round the Island Lap 13 Mins

Today i banked 31 mins

fairly fortunate that i have unlocked all these but dosnt take long to its fun.

Ive had mine for 3 months now. At first it was all exciting and I used it every day. I loved the free step as you can watch TV whilst doing it. Now its collecting dust though after xmas. I will get it out tonight again though and start again.

i make sure i do the free step and boxing every day :) but i also do some of the yoga and muscle ones...i often do those while im watching tv and not even on the wii :)

I love the hula hooping but only do this when I am on my own as my other half and dear daughter think its highly amusing. I just got given one of those magnetic hula hoops (which weighs rather a lot) and have only succeeded in bruising my shins so I am sticking with the wii fit - has anyone tried the family fit ( I think thats what it is called) as I am thinking of getting one.

I bought my dh one for Christmas as he exercises regularily (6' 150lbs) and I knew that he would really enjoy it. I unfortunately need to lose a few pounds before I can really give it a go at all things. I had our youngest child step on it for my initial set up so I can at least do the things that don't require the board. :8855:

Woohoo! I've lost 10lbs now so I'm able to use the Wii fit!

i bought one on Tues, and although ive been feeling rough with a cold, ive used it 3 times so far. i like the step, and the hula, and the jog, my balance is terrible so needs loads of practise on those excercises, i can only do 15 m on the tight rope!
i love the way it weighs you and records everything, my graph has already gone down significantly this week. my hubby who is a real techo head, thinks its brilliant! i find it extremly motivatinal

Thanks ChristieK! Congrats on your weight loss! That is awesome! And I love your kitty pics...we have an orange tabby named Ramone. =)

hi just wonderd if people are still going on the wi after a few months because I personally think I would get bored of it after a while!

I love the wii fit too, and think maybe ive been getting some chest pains, but I think thats more to do with fact that Im large chested, breastfeeding and probably not got the best bra support for some of that hopping around lol.. My faves are the advanced step, (i even find myself batting my arms up and down at the beginning and end just like the mii's lol).

Some of those muscle/yoga poses send you crashing into the wall, good job I don't have any crystal around :D Still its all good fun, but was just posting in other thread about how the wii calculates silly weight fluctuations even if diet is going brill!
