Slightly confused???

I have just had my CDC's mum around as my CDC was sick, i think she is a CDC though, thing is as it was very last minute for my CDC's mum (think daughter dropped her in it) i have been given no books no leaflets which she did apologize for but ive not been weighed or had any measurements taken, i did tell her my BMI is over 40 and she still told me i could do SS?

I know i should be doing something else and when i mentioned SS+ she asked if i was adding a meal in????

I only know little things about CD because i did it for 3 weeks over a year ago but i dont remember much of it tbh.

I was planning on starting the diet tomorrow but dont know if it is safe to do so? i have just spent £80 and the remainder of my order as i saw the list on here is coming monday which is another £40.

The CDC's mum is bringing me the booklets etc sometime this week but i dont know when?? im really stuck should i just go back to my old CDC when i can get there, i choose this one as i do very long hours and she is willing to travel to me at no charge.

Im totally stuck im only 2.2lbs over having a BMI of under 40 can i SS? or should i wait?

I have a BMI of 44 and i will be starting SS on 5th Jan. My councillor said i had to get my GP to sign a medical form which she did for me.
 
oops forgot to say, yes you will be able to do it, but i think you might have to get GP to sign medical form. Depending on your surgery the doctor might charge you for this.
 
doesn't sound like the best start in the world but if your unsure contact your cdc and arrange another visit when she's better to give you the info leaflets and do the weigh in etc
 
I asked for the form but was told i could start it without having it signed if i did SS+ so i threw it away! i was planning on doing SS+ till i lost the weight to get me under BMI 40 but to be honest i dont really know what SS+ is i was expected to be told in more detail, maybe its just coz my CDC is ill but wish i knew where i stood and had the books to have a really good read through.

I dont even have another appt booked to follow this one up??
 
it seems a bit odd to me, i'd give ur cdc a ring and say ur a little confused and would like some more clarification etc, i know mine had to contact the doc just to inform him i was doing a vlcd

if BMI is over 40, then you need GP or HCP (health care practitioner) to sign your medical record form (MRF) you can do any of the higher CD plans until BMI is <40...... you should have got the booklets - yellow 'weight care with cambridge'....and definitely the MRF

not sure that this new CDC is doing her job as she should be.......no way should someone else be delivering packs on her behalf......

Your experience sounds like mine. I had arranged to go see my cdc, and her hubby took me in the livinroom and did it all n she never even came out the kitchen to meet me. I got my packs, but was told there was some things id get next time. Then when i arranged to go back, there away on holiday. SO i ended up getting another cdc. u need someone reliable. especially if u will be on it for a while.

my bmi is 42 i think, its tells u on the siggy anyway. i was tyold they would send letter to my gp, but in the meantime i could start. will do that this fridayl. I am just going to weigh and measure myself as they didnt do this.

maybe people like these should be reported, first timers can feel vunerable and if it wasn;t for forums like this where would we end up? it's there job not a blooming hobby and it's ur sole food source so u need to get it right
 
I know what you mean. The problem with mine was they both work 2jobs and this is obviously a sideline. The rest of there customers go on a sunday morning. But that just doesnt always suit me. I did feel like i was pitting them out. BUt i shouldnt have been made to feel that way as i could have given up right from the off. I text my old cdc to ask when they would be back there holidays to see when i could start again and have heard nothing!!! so glad i just found someone else..
 
i have gone and started my SS program today, been for a walk to take my mind off food lol i honestly dont know what to do, i think her mum is a CDC but i dont know, i will see how things go and if it doesnt get any better i will just find a new CDC which wont be a problem as we seem to be over run with them in my area lol
