Day 2 and the shakes are making me gag! HELP

I am still finding my way around this forum getting lost and not sure where and how to post so if this ends up on the Big Brother forum just ignore it!!:D

I am feeling positive but the shakes are horrendeous tried them a few ways now and having to hold my nose to get them down and I tried the soup well i really was nearly sick so that had to go down the plug hole.

I am so excited and feeling really positive I have a really long, long way to go but feel this is the right way to go. Thanks for all your ideas, my sister has recently lost a lot of weight on this and looks fantastic, which has spurred me on.

Hope to be noting some fantastic weight losses over the next few weeks....if i cant find the right place to post.

Your posts look fantastic so when i get time i will play around to make mine look less plain!

Aww welcome and congrats on choosing lipotrim. Well I like the shakes, although they can get a little boring. But as long as it works, I don't care how boring they can be. I guess you're just going to have to grin and bear it babe.

How are you finding the diet though? going well I hope.
 
Hello hun and welcome to LT I don't actually mind the shakes so can't help you there but im sure someone will be along soon to help.
As for the losses you will be counting them up as the weeks go on and you will feel amazing.

sometimes its worth switching to Lighterlife or even Cambridge as they are much nicer, but to be honest you soon learn to like Lipotrim, my ultimate advice though is stick at it.
 
some ideas to make the shakes taste better
1. put sweeteners in choc, strawberry or vanilla and mix with electric mixer to make it reallllllyyy frothy!
2. put chilli flakes in the chicken soup
3. vanilla with a bit of coffee...
im sure other people will have other ideas too.
i actually like all the shakes except the chicken soup... so i'd say stick to it!! it really works
 
hey guys am new to this forum thing but would like to a big congrats to all of you am gonna start lipotrim in jan and cant wait i have tried every diet there is but nothing seems to stick i jus cant find the will power am getting married oct 2009 and want to lose about 4stone as i work in a pharmacy i can get the lipotrim alot cheaper so i see this as a big oppotunity not to be missed as i will have the support of the pharmacy and a fraction of the cost january cant come quick enough am eating evrything in sight at the moe feeling so guilty but cant stop am a big fat addict and the sooner i break this addiction the better cold turkey here i come xxx
 
i found this with the shakes and soup as well.. thought they tasted really salty and generally mingin!! sick!!

After a couple of days I went back to the pharm and I swapped every single shake/soup for chocolate flavour ones and then mixed them up in the blender with quite a bit of ice and wizzed it up and thought it tasted just like a McDonalds milkshake! I've lived on this every day for 5weeks along with Green Tea. You also find that as the days go past your tastebuds adjust and get used to it (I found the shakes to taste very salty at first but then after a week or so they tasted more chocolatey and sweet - i havent even used any sweetners!!)

anyway... add some ice and wizz it in a blender or similar... it doesn't taste anywhere near as bad when its colddd!!

Suppose everyones tastebuds differ its just a case of finding what you can stomach the best!

Brilliant thanks for all your support......I have 10 stone to lose, it seems like a huge mountain to climb right now but looking at some of your loses give me hope.

What will everyone do for Christmas dinner (or not) could pretend the chicken soup is Turkey I guess, I wonder how many of you will actually eat?
 
add more water. as in lots more than what it says on the bag. i used to split each sachet in half and have each sachet with a whole pint of water.

also, after about a week you actually start liking them. wierd but true. your palate totally changes once you go into ketosis and also after you've weened yourself off your regular food.

I actually really miss the shakes. I even asked my pharmacist if I could replace one of my meals now that I am maintainging witha shake (sadly not).

Never ever would have thought I'd learn to like them!

I HATED the soup when I started until I read on this forum that it's much better if you add some black pepper, chili flakes, and oregano and more water than suggested. I came to LOVE it!!

Just hang on in there. The results are really worth it. And I don't mean just the outside package. I definitely just feel happier healthier and generally more wholesome now that I have gotten over the first shocks of maintenance and eating again. It's one of the best things I ever did.

hang in there as the guys have all said your palate will change and your 1st WI will inspire you to continue this is the best diet ever the results are fantastic

Day five and shakes are not quite as bad as day 1 and 2, I will change all my shakes to chocolate and strawberry when I go for my first weigh in on Tuesday night...i'm so excited, I know i've lost some because i can feel it already, no hunger pains just fed up of looking at nice Christmas food. Thanks for the support!
 
Ohh how exciting lou. I've been and got my first week supply, not starting till saturday. Wanna start tomorrow but my husband has made me promise to wait just a little bit longer. Can't wait to hear how you get on. Have you weighed yourself at home? Any side effects yet? x
 
I actually threw up on my second day, but now I don't have a prob at all. I stick to choc, I think its the least vile of them all, but quite heavy tho. Good luck and stick with it for the first week, after that it gets much easier, promise.
