Moving up the steps to maintainence

I'd never thought i would get to this point but thanks to CD i am...... at what point are people going to start working up the steps to maintainence?

My CDC said when you have about a stone to go (which is almost now) but i'm not sure if i am ready to yet, i don't want to slow the loss down yet!

I'm also thinking of lowering my target. I'd never thought i would get to where i am now (currently 180lbs was 220) so i set a higher target of 165lbs. I think i want to go to 155lbs now.

Should i maybe stick to SS+ until i hit 165 then move up to 810 step and slowly work off that last 10lbs? What are peoples experiences of stepping up??

Hi miss p, Congratulations on doing sooo well!!

I moved up to ss+/810 once I got to BMI25 and am now continuing on 810 til i reach goal (10st)... 1lb to go now!!! but like you i have also thought about going lower than my original goal so will keep on 810 til i'm happy and then move up the plans to maintenance.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks Lelly! That is a good plan...move up to 810 when my BMI is 25. That will be soon! Your weight loss stats look amazing, so consistent! 1lb left to lose...how exciting!

i think is up to you how you feel, i am now a stone away from where i want to be so in the same boat as you, although im planning a break over xmas, and back on it bit style January, i have done a mix of ss and ss + throughout as this seems to give me good losses although not massive but i would rather lose a couple of pounds a week steadily, x

I'm almost ready to move up to 810, cdc away at moment so last official weigh in my bmi was above 25, now its just below, will wait until cdc gets back and had official weigh in. I've also been thinking about lowering my goal original one too high, I think more like 9.7 or even lower.

spooky is right that's what you should be doing and what nyou should have been advised to do by your CDC

I'm going onto 1000 this weekend, have been on 810 for the last 4 months so weve decided its best to take it slow, will take me a good while longer but hopefully give me the best results after losing this amount. Looking forward to it and very nervous at the same time.
