Is there a catch?

Yasmine

One last chance
Hmm I've always been a little confused about this. I know I've only started but I just wanted to know anyway.

Ok, you've lost all the weight you wanted to lose and now you are re feeding and completed all the parts of lipotrim and now started a new way of eating.

Now, I loooooove my curries. Love em as much as my playstation. After finishing lipotrim, will I ever be able to eat my favourite foods again? like burgers, chips, currries, cous cous etc

Or do I have to avoid them forever? I really hope not

I think it more a case of moderation. You can have these things but try making it healthy and eating smaller portions.
I am going back to slimming world after doing this for 2 weeks and 1 week refeed. here i will eat healthly but can have the occasional treat. You may not even want to eat them when you get to you target

Really? ooo I hope so. I was at slimming world, I lost weight from there, but I didn't have time to go to the meetings, and I was too impatient to sit there too LOL.

I'm just worried I'll never eat my favourite foods again. But thanks for telling me. I feel waaay better now.

Hi hun have lost my weight on a vlcd ,I do have curries and burgers .I still use food focus to track what I eat each day but now just put it all in at end of day to check where as in the begining I was planning each day and had to stick to it .I choose my curries so they arnt creamy and add lots of veg I also get oven baked naan so it is all within my cals some days I go out and have masssssive blow out (cant tell you what Ive had today  but if you are ever in scotton near knaresbough go to the guy fawkes pub for sunday lunch very reasonable and very tasty and pud wow) but yesterday and tommorrow I will cut back a bit to make up for it .:eek:In the begining it was like been on a diet but now I can choose without thinking about it and I dont miss out on anything in fact I would say my food is more tasty now .Follow the plans learn what to choose even some brand have less cals to others but taste the same or better .I also choose wholegrains (fill you up more so eat less ) and the marg I get little/no bad sat fats in so less cals there little tweeks to your diet make big differences so you dont miss out on the naughty treats :D.

As everyone said you can eat what you want but in moderation you have to keep in mind why your on this diet in the first place and change you way of looking at food xx

being asain...we eat alot of asain food......so it was hard but. i do eat them everynite but what i did give up was silly eating like toast at nite.....pasta potatoes chips... i live alone so i do the easy things

Hi Yasmine

I understand where you are coming from. I think it would be helpful for us newbies if someone who has lost weight with LT and kept it off for some time tells us how they think they have managed it (thats if they can kindly spare some time to jot stuff down). What was your life like before? what did you eat and drink and when? what was your exersise regime? what do you eat and drink now? what is your exersise regime? The main thing for me in this first week has been the realisation that I was eating out of boredom or habit not hunger. Food has always been a big part of my life but my eating had gotten out of control. Today food is everywhere, watch the TV and every second ad has food, go out and takeaways and foof outlets are everywhere - when your weak like me it makes it very hard. However I have surprised myself no end this weed. I haven't been tempted because I was soooooooooh depressed with my weight and it was affecting my life so much I had to do something. I have even managed to prepared meals for my husband and children all week and switch my head off (I've had the ipod on whilst doing it!)

I can't wait to get weighed later as my clothes are saying I've lost weight and I feel great.

onto week2

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Thing is, I wish my mother made me eat a lot of veg and fruits when I was little so that the weight would gradually come off. But they spoilt me and that wasn't helping. I mean I was big enough since I was born weighing 13lbs. I used to eat a lot of fried foods when I was younger, but that's when my dad was home and my mum was out. My dad's quite lazy and doesn't usually cook home meals, my mum however, being Moroccan, she wants to cook her own home meals and stuff. So it's quite hard when one cooks properly while the other doesn't.

I used to drink a lot of milk, and I mean a lot! I think this is because when my mum was pregnant with me she had a lot of milk cravings. That could also be the reason why I was born big and my sisters weren't. Yes fizzy drinks I liked to drink, but growing up, I eventually kinda started drinking less of it, and in the day I wouldn't drink much and nor woud I eat much either. It's only around 'that time of the month' where I start craving food like crazy.

As for excersice, I started taking up karate when I was 9 and stopped when I was I think 14 because school was becoming stressful and I didn't have the time. But I also used to go to the gym, but I hated the gym, it was really boring.

It's good that you're able to control yourself when you're preparing food for your family. That takes strength!

Good luck for week 2! I'm on my 2nd week myself.
