Embarrassing problem

One last chance
I've nearly finished one week, I'm going to be checking how I did this saturday. I'm a little nervous, I hope I lost a decent amount of weight.

Ok, this is a little embarrassing to say but I really need info. I have a problem with constipation and I have for years.

I've tried laxatives, and they never worked for me. Except for one that I used in Morocco and it worked really well. But in England, non of them work.

Ive been told to drink plenty of water to help and I have been since I started lipotrim last sunday. 2 litres (4 pints) of water I've been drinking and I've gone once but it was like pellets.

Will this cause a conflict between the weight I lose?
 
I am TOTALLY in sympathy with you, you sound just like me, I am constipated on a normal diet...never mind these food replacement diets.

Some people on here have recommended Duculax, apparently they can be quite harsh though and give you stomach cramps and the squits. So if you're desperate for a clear out, they could be ideal, just make sure you can be near a toilet 12 hours after taking them.

I get constipated at the best of times but have been taking a tablespoon of linseed soaked in a little water overnight. this works a treat if you do it everyday and linseeds are very good for you. However on LT I have had to stop. People on the forum have recommended Ducolax which I'm going to give a go tonight but the LT website mentions a thing called fibre clear which is supposed to be available from the pharmacist you get yout LT from. I contacted mine and she said that they would rather see how you go on week one (use Ducloax if you have to ) then they will give you the fibre clear after that.

Good luck with the weigh in and post to let us know how you get on.

Sounds good, minus the cramps and squints LOL. Do I have to get a prescription from my GP or can I just buy it from the chemist?

Hmm so should I just do LT and see if it helps for a while? and if not then take Duculax?
 
you can just buy them at the chemist, not even over the counter!!

You poor poor thing. I take a tea spoon of fiber clear in every shake. Works great for me.
Hope you see results soon...... bad choice of words.
 
I sympathise with you , I am on week 4 and have the same problem. I have tried fibreclear but its no good for me and I only go when I use ducolax. :eek:
 
You say that constipation has been a problem for a while (pre lipotrim ?)
Have you talked to your doctor about irritable bowel syndrom .I have suffered with this for years and there are different levels of how bad it is for some .You can get medication from docs that works quite well or seek there advice on over counter remedies .If it is not to bad most of the time you may find it get a little uncomfortable while on a vlcd so may be worth chatting to doc before it gets to be a problem .I had a bad few weeks with it (but not all the time and once using fibre was better) but still would do the same diet the results now were worth it xx
I added psyillium husks to my shakes (made them with warm water so they were a bit like porridge ) this helped to bulk out as it is just fibre and passes through your system think i could have 4 teaspoons a day so had it in 2 shakes helped me loads hope this helps
 
I am one of those people who have IBS and to be honest I have the opposite effect so thankfully I wont have a problem thats why I want to change my diet as its not helping it the way it is.
 
Hi hun I think everyone is different fibre clear doesn't work for me either I take dulcolax too xx
 
Sorry to those who have the same problems, sucks so much, espeacially when it comes to losing weight.

I bought fibre clear and hopefully it will work. So I just put 1 table spoon in a shake right? do I have to do this with all 3 shakes in one day?

Just checked my free sample packet and it says take 1 heaped teaspoon 1-2 times a day.
You can mix it with your shakes or just add to some water, it is tasteless so it doesn't matter how you take it.
It helped me when I was a lil constipated in the first couple of weeks so fingers crossed for you.
