Question to those that have lost weight on CD

Hi.. I'm trying to set a goal for myself to do SS for 3 full months .. mainly due to wanting to lose weight for health reasons. I am just wondering if anyone could tell me what I could expect to lose in 90 days time.. starting from 280pounds.. if doing SS for the entire time? Also, any other bits of advice.. tips.. and so on.. please.. send them my way. I'm really needing to do this and can't put it off any longer.

Thanks and congrats to all those that have lost weight on this diet program. You have inspired me so much!
 
Hey there

The guidelines say 1 stone per month, you tend to lose a little more in the first month as the first week loss is usually higher so I'd guess about 3.5 stone. Make sure you drink plenty of water spaced out through the day as it really does help and most importantly enjoy the journey!

I didn't want to read and run so I thought i'd say hi.. i'm an amateur at Cambridge Diet and there are LOADS of really inspiring people on here who will no doubt help you in your questions.

I started off at 321lbs and i've lost 24lbs in 4 weeks exactly and i've stuck to it 100%, no cheating at all..

Everyone loses weight at a different pace just give it a chance and take it day at a time. I'm aiming for a total of 3st in 8 weeks and i've got 18lbs left and only 4 weeks... you'll lose QUITE a lot in the 3 months so good luck xxx

by wk13/14 (approx 90 days) i'd lost around 50+lbs, around 3 and half stone,
pure ss, no cheating.

Thanks so much for taking time out to answer my question and also for your motivation. I'm not doing so hot on my first week, but am slowly starting to get the hang of not eating actual food.. I think that's going to be the hardest part for me.. Like, when my kids are eating.. or the family is talking about what they want for dinner.. it's like I have to remind myself that I won't be eating with them.. kinda weird, but yet doable. Just got to keep up with it and focus on one day/meal at a time. I'm really wanting to stay strict on SS for a full 3 months.. going to be hard making it through Christmas, but .. still going to do my best.

Thanks so much ladies for posting.. I feel like I'm ready to just keep pressing on and really give this my all. I need to. I really really do. It's time.

When is your first weigh in- I hope you have a good loss. It's easier once ketosis kicks in and you see the weight falling off.
 
Hi! My first weigh in is tomorrow. I'm excited.. But think next week will be better.. this one was kinda rough getting used to it. Either way, I think I'll be ok once I get the ball rolling.

You're doing awesome by the way.. way to go!:D

Stick to it 100% and you'll easily lost over 3 stone in 3 months. I've lost over 9 stone in 10 months - and I've just come back from a holiday in Florida when I only put on 4lbs!

One of the secrets is to keep drinking the water - it helps to stave off hunger and gives you a good detox which makes you feel fantastic!

Well my first week I didn't do too good with sticking to plan.. but going to try harder this coming week. I only lost 7 pounds, which is good.. but I know if I was more strict, it would have been more. Does it get easier? I am trying to convince myself that I can make it 3 months on just SS but wow.. Does it get easier as time goes on? I am finding that I am not hungry, but just the thought of going each day without the activity of "eating" is pretty hard. Humm.

I'm on week 5 and i've not cheated ... even a tiny bit i have not. I started at 22st 13lbs and 'only' lost 8lbs first week. So, you done well to lose 7lbs and not stuck to it... that's great!

It does get easier, a lot easier! Im in the same rut as u as for the brain saying it's eating time. but, you do get used to it. And... besides all... it's only time! and you'll lose loads of weight x
