CDC question re 1000 plan

Hi,

I'm quite concerned as i've read a few posts recently about people moving up to 1000 plan and putting on weight. Obviously i realise that there will be an initial gain due to the replenishing of glycogen, but i can't understand how it is possible to gain when only eating 1000 cals a day.

I'm moving up in a few weeks and am still a couple of stone from goal, so i'm worried about undoing all of my hard work, or not actually being able to eat carbs again.

Any explanations would be gratefully recieved.

Hi, all I can say is that I have read those posts too and it seems to be happening in the first days/week of the switch, as expected. It can only be water retention, not fat, and hopefully in the second week you will start to lose again.

It will probably also help speed up your metabolism too, and just think of the big loss when you switch back to SS! It will be like your first week again! I really don't think you are going to start undoing all your hard work with a couple of weeks on 1000, but hopefully a CDC will be along soon with more info.
Good luck,
Frances

Thanks for the reassurance hun
