Slimmer of the year 2008 - shortlist

Well blow me down with a feather! I've been shortlisted for slimmer of the year! Anyone else on here been shortlisted? What's the general set up of this? :) I'm attending with my cdc and looking forward to shopping for a new dress! Now I would like to lose an extra few pounds before then! Fingers crossed.
 
Well done, i was shortlisted last yr, it is a good day, will be there again this yr so might see you there, just realised you are from Littlehampton, my home town.

Good luck to everyone who has been short-listed!

I've been to the past 2 CD conferences (I was a short-listed semi-finalist in 2006 myself) and will be going again this year too both for the daytime conference/award ceremonies and the black tie dinner dance in the evening.

Hope to see you there :D
 
Wow well done hun! Don't think I'll ever get shortlisted as its taken me 2 years to lose all my weight! :( pants! If I'd stuck with it and not taken any breaks maybe... but now, no chance. Ah well! Well done you :) to be shortlisted in itself must feel a real achievement

i've been shortlisted too, and i'm going with my cdc as well, but only to the conference, not to the evening gala. i read on facebook that there are 50 shortlisted ppl this year.

By the way I've lost 7stone since Jan this year and trying to knock off the last stone before the do! Got the dress today and have to say have never owned an evening dress like it before! Wow, size 14 from a size 26/28 is a bit of a shocker!

i know what u mean, i lost smth like 6,5st and I can actually fit into a EU size 36 (UK size 8).... barely, but i can:D my skinny friend gave me her trousers yesterday, they're a size 8, and although they're tight around the belly, the rest fits fine:D a couple more pounds and I'll be able to fit into them comfortably:D
