And it is totally not emotional hunger at all - anyone have any ideas why this might be happening????

have you had your usual water intake for this time of day?
Eaten bars today or yesterday when u dont normally?

I know a small change in routine for me throws me out of whack

I am really hungry too madamruthybaby, it is really frustrating... I am convinced it is the cold, wintery weather, I have had 3 packs already and it's only 3.30!!!

The only thing I feel like doing to combat it is having a hot bath...

Good luck x

I have drunk 3 litres today so I am going ok on the water and no I haven't had any bars since one on Monday morning. It is totally baffling me!

I was going to go straight to the gym, but I think I will have to go home first and miss my class and perhaps go tomorrow night or something because I am so hungry I can't wait for my porridge!

Hi Ruth, maybe as like me you haven't had the best advice from your CDC with regards to moving up the plans could it be that SS is just too low a calorie limit for you too? is your BMI less than 25?

Yes it is lower than 25 I would have thought... haven't worked it out but I would guess that it is probably about 23 or 24.....

I am seeing my CDC on Sunday so I will mention it to her then, but really, really am feeling hungry which I have never felt before when in ketosis unless I haven't had a shake in a very very long time!

I had one at 1pm so I am so surprised how hungry I have been.

My tummy has been rumbling all day too!
I'm drinking lots but if I drink more I'll drown from the inside out!!!:eek:

madameruthybaby, when you update your ticker, if you input your height it will add your BMI to the ticker!

I have just worked out my BMI on CD website and it is actually really low so I am going to call my CDC tonight! It's 21.7! I am 5 foot 1 and weigh 8 stone 3.

I am really concerned now and feel really paniky and tearful - what if I have done myself damage when my CDC wanted me to loose another few lbs before I move up the plans!!

hi Ruth, don't panic i'm sure you would feel worse if you had done damage but definitely call your CDC and get some advice when you get home, i've just been looking at the booklet and it says SS and SS+ if for people with a BMI over 25 and 1 stone to lose, and that 810 is for anyone with BMI 20 and over, so maybe this could be the reason for the hunger etc. Hope you feel better soon xx

You won't have done any damage so please don't worry!
Just speak to your CDC tonight and voice your concerns. I'm sure she/he will have the answer.

Yes good advice not to panic. I will call her when I get in from work.

It's strange how she has given me different advice!

I am a little surprised she allowed you to SS at all really!
If I calculated it right, your BMI would have been about 26.8 when you changed over to Cambridge and on Cambridge don't you have to start working up the plans at BMI26 + 1stone?

(Sorry if I got it wrong!)

think its recommended to work up at BMI25 plus a stone, but not necessarily a compulsory thing.

i'm starving too- am definitely in ketosis as I have the taste, am cold and the sticks confirmed it, but feel really weak and hungry :( not liking it one bit but need to stick to my resolve! x

Hi Fiona

On my green card she wrote that when I started after leaving LL I had a BMI of 28 but maybe she calculated it incorrectly. Not sure as I didn't work it out. I spoke to her on the phone anyway and she said she still wants me to SS until I see her on Sunday and then to start SS+ after my weigh-in on Sunday so I suppose that is what I will do.

NOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry hun but she is WRONG!

You need to move to 810 now, not trying to scare you but these rules are there for a reason, get some chicken and veg down you hun!

hi Ruth, maybe start a new thread and call for some CDC advice on here, i'm sure they'll be able to help you decide if you should stick to SS or not.
xx

Sorry if my last post sounded harsh, but i've seen threads like this before and if you are below bmi 25 you should defo be on 810.

I would do as Lelly says and also find an online bmi calculator to double check your bmi if it is less then 25 then move up today. It is dangerous to SS at less than bmi 25.

I can't believe your cdc hasn't told you to move up already.

I agree with thinkthincd, you should definitely start moving up the plans now. Being in ketosis is not a natural state, and not good for your health, unless the risks of obesity are greater. If your BMI is just over 21, that is on the lower side of normal and you should be eating more calories as you won't have the excess fat to burn. Just start with some chicken and green veg as suggested, but please don't keep SSing. :)

I just checked your BMI on the NHS site and it came out at 21.6 - in middle of the healthy range, so not as low as I assumed, but you could add a meal if feeling side effects. Good Luck with your decision, and congratulations on a brilliant weight loss!!:)
