So, I was going quite well. No where near as much motivation as last year though. Then Sunday we went out for my brother's birthday meal... to a CURRY HOUSE. I caved, and ate 3/4's of my rice and 1/2 of my chicken tikka masala portion's (people, its not worth the pain it caused me that night lol)

Now I'm back out of ketosis, I've had some mushroom's this evening and suppose to be going it Sole Sorce styley. I have a party on Friday night which is gonna be hell sticking to diet coke (the plan) and weighing on Saturday.

I feel like a failure!

So long as you learn from your mistakes, you can see it in a good way.
After all, much of what we learn comes from knowing what NOT to do from experience.

Don't be too harsh on yourself. Just put it behind you, and get back on track from now on :)

Stay with it

I am sure a lot of people have bad days and cheat occasionally, I think you need to put it behind you and get back on track...it will be SOOOO worth it in the end.

:):):):):)

Thank you both. I know it was a mistake but at the same time, sitting with my family and boyfriend eating away at my most favourable food is just bl00dy cruel eh?

Just gonna plod through this week, I know its gonna be hard as I'm unhappy with more than just my weight at the moment, and fingers crossed a better loss than last week on Saturday will push me x

You will realise that you are just making it harder on yourself. Glad to hear you're back in the right frame of mind. You'll be fine.

Keep your chin up.

Even if things are not as you want, just remember that you CAN do this, and it will make you feel better when you start seeing the good results.

Don't beat yourself up about it...we are all human.

If was easy we would all be thin!:grouphugg:

Please don't lose heart. I'm not an expert at this - I've just completed wk 2 and last week was an absolute disaster - but if you stick at it there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

I got some great advice and support from other forum members which really pulled me through and although I just got back on the straight and narrow yesterday, I'm already back in ketosis and still managed to lose 4lbs this week.

It's not easy but it'll be worth it.

Keep on keeping on & don't give up xxx

Hi,I have had several social occassions they have been hard but Ive made it through,in my opinion to do this diet 100% you have to have complete tunnel vision,it is an extreme diet which we have chosen to do.By eating now and again you are torturing yourself,at the time you couldnt give a toss, but, you are putting the whole diet at risk,it is not the sort of diet you can jump on and off willy nilly, every time you eat something you shouldnt you are making it harder and harder for yourself to get back on the straight and narrow.I know this because it has taken me 3 years to 100%SS properly and probably cost me hundreds of pounds in wasted money. You need to put this behind you and give it your all,if there is a social occassion coming up,plan what you are going to do,if you want this weight gone pussyfooting around and half hearted attempts will not work sorry if this sounds harsh but I know the mistakes Ive made, chin up girlie, come on you can do this
xx

Hi Arcticmonkey, I sound a bit like you, fall off the wagon most weekends, but just in the evening. I try and make up for it by walking or digging extra hard on the allotment, i have still lost weight every week, but it's 2-5lb loss usually. if I was 100% I know it would be higher, but am sure it would go back on easier. My CDC doesn't agree with me, and we have a debate about it most weeks, but the stats don't lie, I am losing weight, wish I could 100%, but 98% is better than nothing.

Come on ArticMonkeys you having to spend far too much cash on this plan to just mess it up. The sooner you can manage to get your head in the game is the sooner you'll reach your goal.

Use this time abstaining from conventional food well, you can manage without it or opt for SS+. You could have had a small green salad (no dressing) and some tandorri chicken (the dry one). When you go to your party drink sparkling water but no lemon or lime.

Think about where you want to be and you will get there, don't allow the obstacles to set you back, you're too important for that!

Wishing you well on your journey. Look forward to congratulating you when you get to the finish line.

There is some great advice on this thread, and some of it straight from the hip! It is good to hear for all of us.

Beware of diet coke Articmonkeys, it knocks me out of ketosis every time :(

Good luck Articmonkeys, this diet works wonders if you stick to it, I've had a wobbly couple of days, but feel kicked into line now :)

Little pickers wear bigger knickers :)
