Day 5 yesterday was murder. Also came in from work at 9:30pm to find a big pot of home made Chilli, made with pure organic lean mince, with extra kidney beans.
But I acted differently this time. Rather than look at it for 5 mins and eventually give in I went out in the car for 45 minutes to get the kids pack lunch sorted at an all night Tesco's.

By the time I came back I could cope with the craving, put it in a bowl and into the freezer.

Job done. Just hope tonight is easier.
I always find it OK until around 6-7 in the evening, then hunger kicks in.

Well done for not givin in the cravings do get easier mine only come now occasionally when i'm in bed so i can ignore then and go to sleep :)

Hiya,
I felt the same as you last week, day 5 was an absolute killer!!! But I just glugged my water and kept on thinking why I was doing this and the end result and before I knew it,it was the 6th day and I felt loads better!!!!

It does get easier, and here's me on my 11th day and feel brill.Even my hubby is amazed at how bright and breezy I am with no food in my belly,he eats all day, feels crap and has no energy:(

Hard isn't it?

Not the hardest thing you'll ever have to cope with in your life, though. Just get on with it, take each day, each hour, each minute as it comes and divert your attention to something else - walking, reading, cleaning the car or sweeping the kitchen floor. Anything. Just not food.

I'm not joking, once you have got your first week over it gets easier. And once the weight starts falling off you and you see your body changing, you'll guzzle your shakes with glee and flick two fingers up at fish and chips, horrid greasy mess that they are. You simply won't want to put any of that crap into your body.

Till you get to that stage, stay here and stay busy.

Thats brilliant -well done! thats the first step to breaking old habits. And you dealt with it admirably, especially after only 5 days. APPLAUSE!!! ;) And look how you managed to turn it into something helpful by getting the kids sorted for school. Before you'd have tucked in and the packed lunches would have been left til last minute I bet (if yer anything like me lol)

Day 6 has to be easier now because you've already proven you can cope.

GOOD LUCK!!!

OMG chilli :drool::drool: its just my favvvv!! and well done u for resisting xx

Well done for resisting, I often make chilli for my OH and it does smell yummy (and I'm no fan of it!!!! Especially the way I make it for him - extra hot!!!)

On the positive side, you are another day closer to your first WI!!!! Which will make that all worthwhile!!!

Very true, it was a big psychological hurdle to jump. Before I would definately have given in to the craving. Today so far not too bad but as I say it's after 7:00pm that I struggle.
