What can I drink?

Hi, I'm new to slimfast and been on it since monday. I don't normally drink enough and have increased the amount i drink. I'm not keen on just water and have been having weak squash and tea. Is this ok or should i just be drinking water which i would find really difficult to do? Any help would be welcome.

Welcome to SF

fruit cordial is okay if you check the label no added sugar ones should have about 10 calories per serving so if you're having 10 glasses a day you might want to class it as a snack as it'll be 100 calories. Tea is fine too but depends on how you take it, 50ml of skimmed milk is 18.8 calories and a spoonful of regular sugar is 16 calories so roughly 50 calories a cup. any kind of pure juice like Apple Juice or Orange Juice is super calorific and though it can usually provide one of your 5 a day there is about 100 calories per glass in regular ones.

Hi Sara and nik noc,
I also started slimfast on monday. I cant stand drinking water, but have been drinking the flavoured ones which are not too bad, and have also been having cranberry and raspberry squash made quite weak, but at least it flavours the water.
I love fresh orange juice but you have to watch the calories in it.
So thats 3 newbies together!!

Thanks for the replys, it's good to know i'm not alone! Will continue with the weak squash (no added sugar) and strong tea (not very much milk at all cos I don't really like milk either!) I'm having 2 snacks a day am and pm so should still be in my allowance with what i'm doing.

I'm another newbie to Slimfast (although actually going for a gastric bypass, but trying to loose weight before the op to shrink my liver). I thought I'd give Slimfast a try, so picked up a couple of the cheaper tesco variety last week. Tried them and they made me feel really full. I had to wean myself onto them. They say you can have three in a day and a proper dinner - no way. Two tops for me or I'd be sick.

I also don't like drinking plain water. Today, all I've had is three cups of tea, two shakes, a wholemeal banana sandwich and minced beef, new potatoes and lots of veg for dinner (but couldn't finish it all). I don't tend to drink a lot otherwise. I know I should but I don't feel thirsty or anything, nor do I feel dehydrated.

Actually prefer the tesco lighter choices shakes to the slimfast ones, as they are thicker and fill me up more.
