Hi! I've been researching different diets.(this site is awesome, so much information!)

I have a question..
What exactly is Lipotrim? Do you take pills? shakes? Is it just low calories?

Thanks for your help!

You have 3 shakes a day that contain all the vitamins and good stuff you body needs to "survive." After a few days you'll go into ketosis which is where the body starts burning its own fat supplie = weight loss. Im sure someone will be on who can explain it better :)

:welcome:JoAnne50,

Lipotrim is a very low calorie diet where no food whatsoever is taken during the time you are on the diet.

Lipotrim involves the use of nutrient-complete formula total food replacement products, developed in Britain by qualified nutritionists and experts in weight management, and proven to be safe and effective in helping you lose weight.

The unique foods keep you healthy whilst losing weight by providing the full range of nutrients your body needs for a normal, active life.

Lipotrim started out in 1987 as a GP programme but was extended to pharmacy to make it more accessible to overweight and obese people who were serious about wanting to lose weight.

When you join the programme, your pharmacist will give you weekly support to help you reach your desired weight.

Welcome to the Lipotrim Website

I hope that helps!

Well I'm only on 'day 3' so no expert(!), but it's basically a 'very-low-calorie' (vlcd), complete meal replacement diet.

You replace all food with 3 shakes a day & loads of water, slightly different for men i believe.

You have to either purchase the meal replacements from a participating chemist or GP.

On the lipotrim website is a short film explaining the whole diet, which will be less confusing than me trying to!

good luck x

Thanks for all your help. I understand it a little better now. I would love to do this one, but I don't think I could function with so little calories.

I'll check out some other diets, too. There are so many!!! But I desperately need to lose some weight.

Joanne I never thought I could survive on such a LCD but it is day 6 for me and I honestly feel great, I even have a cold and feel good...and it really is worth it you may be pleasantly suprised
