Who has lost the most on CD, and what amount of time?

lillypop

now got pictures in album
As you may know I want to lose 13 stone. I am hoping that by Nov 09 I will be at target and maintaining because I am going to CUBAAAA and would like to be 10 stone 4lbs, from 23 stone 4lbs. I may go a little lower but this is my first target.

So I wondered -

1) How much weight have you lost?

2) How long did it take you to lose the weight?

3) Are you still on your weight loss journey and how much more weight have you got to lose?

4) Or, how long have you maintained?

5) Or, have you put any of your weight back on again!!!?

You dont have to answer all of them but really I want to know, realistically, how long it takes to lose a huge amount of weight.

Thanks for taking the time out to read my post.

1) How much weight have you lost? - 23lb

2) How long did it take you to lose the weight? - 1st July till 20th Aug

3) Are you still on your weight loss journey and how much more weight have you got to lose? - got 15lb to lose till target

5) Or, have you put any of your weight back on again!!!? - Had a break since 20th Aug and only put a pound back on. Struggling to get back into it though, and on day two of another restart.

They key is to not stop till you reach your goal.

100% agree with that.

It's very easy to get within a couple of stone of your goal and decide to take a break or decide to lose the last 2 stone by healthy eating YOU WON'T DO IT! When you finish CD you have enough to worry about trying to maintain and get use to eating a normal healthyu diet, without the burden of trying to eat a small enough amount to lose weight. Stay on CD till goal, do the maintenance and then put all your efforts into staying the same weight each week - This is just my opinion of course :)

Yawn.. Nvm, misunderstood :)

I'm sure you can get to your goal.

BIG H

I've copied your post, made the words really big, and stuck it to my fridge. Yes, my family and OH will think I am nuts, but I think its great, and will keep me focused.

Great stuff - hope it helps you!
The way I see it once you are in Ketosis and have done a number of weeks, what difference does a few more weeks make, to reach your ultimate goal! I've stopped too early on all 3 of my CD journeys and have never lost more weight after finishing. In fact I have always gained, which I now put down to the fact that I have tried to deprive myself too much in order to lose weight and found it too hard and lost my way. Not this time!!

Great thread - I will add mine though as I am not that far in I am more interested in hearing everyone else's stories!

1) How much weight have you lost? 3 stone 1.5lb

2) How long did it take you to lose the weight? 11 weeks, although I was off the diet for about 3 weeks in total due to an all inclusive holiday

3) Are you still on your weight loss journey and how much more weight have you got to lose? Yes, 11 stone

4) Or, how long have you maintained? n/a

5) Or, have you put any of your weight back on again!!!? n/a - though I will do everything in my power to make sure this doesn't happen!

this is the bit that worries me the most!! the end bit, what happens when you get near to goal, etc. etc. so it's really great what you're saying, I'm going to stick to CD until the end and work up the packs. Thanks for that
