a new way of living!
LOL, can you beleive it!

I have been on painkillers for about a year now (since diagnoised with fibro) and they irritate my stomach lining.

so i went to dr's and asked for omeprozole (protects stomach from nsai tablets) and he examined me and said i am getting gastritis. which i knew casue he said the same last time, the time where i had to do a poo sample. :sign0131:

well sample was false negative cause i was taking omeprazole, and so he said have you been losing weight - and i said yeah on a diet, when he found out has fast i was losing weight, he immediately said i have to have a camera test to make sure there is no internal bleeding!

I said its a 425kc a day diet, of course i'm losing weight fast! no use, still have to have a camera up jacksie.

I'm going to be having a 'buggered by rough end of a pineapple' day again i can see it!:eek:

bloody drs - just give me the drugs and leave my ass alone! :gen147:

sorry for the rant!

Ow - my eyes are watering for you
Hope all goes well and they only find a lovely clean colon!
Take care

ouch!!!! you poor thing... hope it all turns out well, thats the main thing! good luck!!!!

ouchie poor you hope the tests all negative xxx

drugs

dont know about drugs, hope they sedate me!

I am lucky that oh pays for bupa for me. So getting a private referral, maybe they will be nicer too me!

Fibro = fibromyalgia, its a life long condition once you have it. Gives you fatigue like chronic fatigue syndrome and pain like rheumatoid arthritis. Its horrible to have, but i have learned to manage it. Just give me drugs! ;)

Morphine and chocolate work well. Although choc shakes now! ;)

nah not really, even losing weight wont help it, aside from reduce the pressure of carrying weight around. having a bad pain day today too :( never mind :D does no one any good dwelling.

happy happy happy :D

what can i say???

Good luck and i am sure Bupa will look after you i had to have a very routine thing done and ask for sedation they were ok with it ,

I had that done when I was taken into hospital with very bad viral gastroenteritis :( It is more embarassing than uncomfortable  I was given a sedative but managed to make a complete joke of the whole (sorry!) thing to help me forget my shame lol!

I actually found it quite interesting and at the same time scary because I've suffered from irritable bowel for years and was worried that they would find polyps or something (my grandad died from untreated bowel cancer).

The windy stomach is much much worse than the pineapple up the bum feeling I promise! :D

ouch hun i feel for you. sorry to be bearer of bad news but i know someone who had this done and had no pain releif so lets hope cos you going private they will. i am not surprised you are having a bit of a rant to be honest i couldnt bring myself to do it i would refuse you are a stronger women then i am. thinking of you xxxxxxx
