When do people notice?

Hey!

I was just wondering, from experience, how much wait have you lost before people start to notice? I have just got my half a stone and I can already feel a bit of a difference in my clothing (unless I am just imagining it!!!), but was wondering when others really start to notice???

I have lost a stone now and people have started to comment. I went to a family party at the weekend and they havn't seen me since Xmas, so they really noticed.

I suppose it depends how much you have to lose. I had 10 stone to lose and It was about the 2 stone mark people started to notice.

I normally start to feel it a bit at 1/2 stone but it has too be over a stone I think for others to notice anything..

I've lost 12lb so far and nobody has commented or seemed to notice. Except for my other half - who occasionally (LOL) sees me naked. And I notice so that s the main thing. I also got into a pair of trousers that I haven't been able to for two years - so somethings changing!!!

Still would be nice to hear a "Wow you've lost some weight" comment off people...

One day....one day....;)

i havent really had anyone notice because everyone who knows me sees me quite frequently anyway and they know how im doing because its all i talk about lol but i notice a lot myself now that ive lost over a stone

"Wow you've lost some weight" :D:talk017:

Ive lost 8.5lbs and it really depends what I wear as to wether people notice or not as my weight so far has gone from the middle of my waist, so if i wear clingy-er tops people notice its now nipped in quite abit. But I too blab on about SW all day every day.

I didn't notice much till I shed my first stone. Hubby reckoned he could see a difference in me before then.
I'd say it was at the 2 stone mark that I could see people looking at me 'wondering' what was different. Around that point I had alot of people commenting on my hair...which I found quite amusing

I am just off the 3 stone mark now, and I too wish more people would comment. I mean, I've gone from a size 22/24, to a 16/18. i think that's a BIG difference! I FEEL wonderful, and seem to shrink by the week.

Maybe cos I'm quite a private person (very loud and chatty and bubbly, but tell people very little about myself, unless I REALLY know them, if you know what I mean?), that people don't want to say anything. And there is no way I would make reference to it. It's my business, not theirs :sigh: lol

Can't have my cake and eat it too. Oh wait, I CAN - this is SW! hahaha

I agree with Sonban, it does depend on how much you have to lose, i had lost about 1 and a half stone when people started to notice, a problem can arise where you know people have noticed (lost 48 pounds up to now) but they won't mention it due to jealousy, i have found that has happened to me, but in the end it didn't bother me. I know iv'e lost weight and feel so much better about myself and thats all that really matters in the end. Well done to everyone for there weight losses and lets show em. lol xxx

i've lost nearly 3 and half and gone down to a size 18 from 24.........so its hard not too notice the weight loss.....my family don't say anything anymore cos they are use to seein me.........

some people still havent noticed and I have lost over 2 stone, however a guy who has been on holiday for 3 weeks came back today and did a double take and said how well I looked and that I had lost weight, so that's nice to hear. But I can see it now, maybe some of the people who see me all the time just dont want to say they have noticed

I think a lot of people think it's rude to comment at all. I actually hate hearing it but that's typically because I haven't lost weight and think people are just saying it even though it isn't true..... apart from hubby and parents, (and now one girl at work who is thin and sexy and revealed it's all cos of SW as she lost 4st last year) to me, no-one knows I'm doing a diet. I just want to lose and eventually people will see me and go 'crumbs did she use to be thin??!' lol.

I've always hated people commenting on my weight though. I think mostly people do notice but don't want to say anything. I think it implies that you needed to lose weight in the first place, but maybe that's just my own insecurities? That's why I've always hated it anyway....!

If you don't know someone very well it can be a bit tricky commenting, because you don't know how they'll take it, or if they've been ill or something bad has happened to cause the weight loss. Also, 'you've lost weight' can be taken as 'god you were really fat before', if you see what I mean.. lol

Well I would just like to say..

WELL DONE EVERYONE ON YOUR LOSSES AND YOU ALL LOOK FABULOUS !!!!

:D:D:D
Ditto to you too Emski. xxx
