Not really how I wanted the day to end.....

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
Well, as you have seen, I thoroughly and completely loved my Salmon last night.

But....

I got very VERY sick at about 3:30am and threw it ALL up. :( And I only ate half of a very small portion? I have not been that 'violently ill' in such a long time, I didn't know what to make of it - but it was AWFUL! :( My tummy muscles hurt today from retching so hard.

Do you think it might be Salmon is too richa nd oily a fish for the first meal? Or have you heard of this happening to others?

lol - don't have to worry about any gain from THAT meal.

OH BL sorry to hear that!:sigh: I had Haddock last night and it was fine. I hope it was just a bit rich for you and you'll be fine from now on!! Perhaps try a chicken breast today? Can't offer any advice as I'm no wiser than you but I hope you are ok today :)

Oh you poor thing. I agree with Bex try chicken maybe.

Ones stomach needs to get used to it. Believe it or not choclate sets me off so I now stay away, thankfully I am not bothered by it.

balsamic vinegar is a great way to flavour ur chicken breast/salad and you can have it in the 1st week :) x

Hi peeps....still feeling quite funny in my tummy.

LS, I don;t think its that stomach virus as I already had that a week ago. lol Only then there was nothing to throw up. :D But I hope you are OK!

(And you ar welcome in this part of the forum anytime - only reason its seperated is so those that cannot read about food, and find it to difficult won't have to hear about eating. Thas all. But you're welcome anytime as is anyone! :))

I think it was just too rich. But I am queeeeesy, and lol - after all this wait, the thought of eatng right now does not appeal. Oh - wait a minute. Chicken. Mmmmm. Yes it does. :D

I am so glad I practiced what I learnt and didn't eat all of it or I would have been really ill!!

I also was wide awake - didn't go to bed til 4am!!! It was about 3am, and I just broke into a cold sweat all over my face. That passed - then just before 4 it went again. Yuck., Haven't done that for a long time!

What a day!! lol

Hope you are all good today!! :)

Thanks honey - me too!!! Earlier I was talking to my in-laws, and I said it was unfair! lol - wait ALL this time to eat - have one meal, and today I do not want to eat anything!! LOL

But as I was saying that, I started thinking about chicken, and changed my mind, and said, Yeah - I'm eatin. :D

Going to prepare it very blandly though - no chances. I suppose its not unusual to have some kind of reaction after so many days of not eating. But I do not want a repeat of that!!

Are you feeling better? :)

Oh no guys, is this the sick corner? Better not get too close had I!!

I'm so sorry that your eating was an anti-climax BL. I've been ok this time, but when i went into RTM last time my first meal caused me lots of cramps and I felt a bit weird. It was a much longer time since I'd eaten, but not as long as you! So here's hoping you have a much more successful evening tonight and enjoy that chicken!

LS - Hope you're feeling a bit more on the ok side xxxx

I'm not from this part of the forum, but just thought I'd let you know, that my mum & my df are both a bit funny with salmon. Just like you they have either been or felt really sick after eating it. This usually means they go off it for ages. They try it again & are fine for a while, but then it makes them ill again.

Me, I've never had that problem with it in my life. But it does happen & is quite common with salmon....

Hope this helps x

Fortunately for me the food hasn't been a prob!! I've been off sick today as I was sooooooo dizzy this morning that I dare not drive to work (bloody virus)!! Still feeling pretty crappy but will hopefully get to work tomorrow!!! Fingers crossed hey!! Hope your chicken dinner has better results BL! Hope you feel better soon LS!! I'm going back to where I've spend most of the day now...BED!!! night people :wave_cry:

How horrible for you! I never had a problem with salmon personally, but you can imagine that your stomach might react negatively after so long in abstinence. Hopefully your second meal ends more agreeably! Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much at the time. It really brought back memories of my first meal - I also shed some tears over the deliciousness of it all!
