Why do we beat ourselves up?

rachelh

is loving the soup?!
I woke up this morning at 4 and started worrying (LT insomnia lol)
Have basically spent three hours stressing that, had I started this just a few weeks earlier, I'd have been at my goal for Christmas. For me, my goal is only just under where I look tubby, so basically I am still going to be what people (ie my family) would consider fat at Christmas.
Decided to post on here to draw a line under it. I'm going to learn from that to carry on working hard and not lapse, and I'm going to refuse to think about it, move on and just do the best I can for Christmas.

I think it's human nature to beat ourselves up and torture ourselves with "what ifs?"
Sometimes life just gets in the way of taking control of aspects of our lives, but the important thing to remember is that NOW YOU HAVE!! Just imagine if you hadn't started at all, or started later, you wouldn't be where you are now.
You (and all of us) should be applauded for what we've achieved, so here's some from me !:clap::clap::clap::clap: xx

Sweatheart you are doing this for you, to get where you want to be, it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. The lt journey isn't only about weight, we learn a lot on the way to help us keep it off.

In the early days you tend to focus on the how long it takes stuff but as you get in the swing you realise it really will work and it just gets easier to go with the flow, knowing you will achieve your dreams for definite makes it easier not to stress about which week you do it in.

Sorry the above is just my experience, not saying it is the same for everybody but I would just like to say I really admire your determination through your set backs, you will achieve your goals x
