I went to the doctors today....

He was amazed with my weight loss! He made me get on the scales twice to make sure he had read it right the first time! lol

I went to ask about loose skin when I had reached goal, and whether i could get an operation done on the NHS to remove any excess skin, and he said that once i am happy with my weight and i have reached the goal i want to be at, he will build a case for me and put me forward to have the operation done, and said that he doesn't see any problems as to why i shouldn't!

I'm really happy! I didn't want to get to goal and have a flabby belly that was going to depress me, so at least now i know my options if need be!

He was really impressed with lipotrim and said he would recommend it to other patients. He even asked if there was anything he could do to help the process along or was i coping ok on my own!!

makes a change, thats great, i'm moving to your dr's! :D

Well done Vickie, You have done amazingly, :)

Do you get weighed also at you're doctors so they can keep a record of losing weight? Will that help if I went to my docs and discussed Lipotrim with my GP? As I am wondering if they would give me a tummy tuck once I have lost my weight also? Any suggestions? Thanks Vickie X

What a great doctor! Id love one like that. I already have a little loose skin from having my daughter 8 months ago so Im expecting more and would a tummy tuck!

That's great! He sounds really supportive...dare I say it a rare gem?

What a great Doctor, and what a refreshing change! I dont know why more Docs dont think the same way, thay are pushing patients to have gastric bypass operations, which must cost the NHS 10's of thousands of pounds, and leaves the patient with nasty after op side effects - why not try every possible avenue first!!

As for the loose skin, exercise and toning will help loads. Anything you can do to avoid the op and not have post op scaring has to be considered. Skin is far more elastic than you think, and generally only hangs as it still has a fatty layer attached to it. The more weight we lose the less the skin will sag.

when was the last time u got weighed at the doctors hun? i was at my heaviest last time i did, so he knows how much i have lost. if they have no record of your weight i would go and get weighed if u want to have the option of the operation if its necessary when the time comes. or alternatively, u could always get your card from LT when you finish so they will know exactly how much u have lost from that anyway! xx

hi hun, i totally agree. i intend on doing exercise and i'm not going to be slack and think that because he has given me the go ahead i will just rely on it. i don't want to have it done if i can get away with it. i just wanted to know if it was possible as a last resort. :D xx

Nice one! Now you know you have that for back up! Thats brilliant -you'l be feeling healthier and looking fab in no time at all!

Wow what a great doctor! Hope you dont need to have it done vicki but great to have that kind of option. I really want breast implants now (spaniels ears aren't a good look) I would never have thought about going to the docs as would have thought they would dismiss it as someone who just wants big boobs but that not the case. Good luck with it hun x

when i saw your post went to doctors i thought you was coming off it so i am so pleased it all gone so well for you. xxx

It was last year when I was about 25 stones something I cannot remember now, I think I was 167 kg then, They was giving me Xenical (Orlistat) But was battling with the wrong foods back then so came off them so not been on them since, I will make an appointment with them today and give them a update of whats happening, Saying that My Psychologist who was giving me Binge eating Disorder therapy up till 2 and a bit weeks ago she was sending updates to my GP and Psychiatrist and said she will let them know that I decided to go on Lipotrim so they will have a record of it! :)

it might be worth going to speak to your doctor. you could get the operation done on medical grounds, and medical grounds are depression. i know a girl that had a boob job done on the NHS because she kept going back to the doctors saying that she was depressed, couldn't go swimming, stopped her doing other things, and wasn't happy at all and they gave her it.

I had a similar experience when I went for my bi-annual check up at the hospital - to monitor my gallstones. The doctor even shook my hand! He was also very positive about the potential for removing the excess skin when I'm down to a healthy BMI.

its a great incentive isn't it hun?? I was surprised at how easily he said that he was sure it would be given the go ahead. He was so amazed at how quickly the weight had come off that i think i could have got him to agree to anything. Should have thought about it better shouldn't i? I could have got allsorts!! LOL (not liquorice ones)

how are u getting on anyway hun? settled in ok after ur trip away? xx
