CD day 2

Hi everyone :)

I have just started cambridge diet and am on day 2. I previously did Lighter Life a few years ago, very successfully but the weight has crept back on :(

Anyway, I must admit to never feeling this ill before. Headaches, dizzyness and nausea and no energy whatsoever. I'm drinking plenty, yesterday I got through 6 litres of water.

But today my motivation is low due to feeling so ill.

I need some motivation please as I really don't want to give into temptation.

Please Help!!! LOL

Hi Sweet stick with it you may feel C**P for another day but you will soon be over that and rearing to go. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

I'm on day 2 and feel better than yesterday where I ended up going to bed at 7.30pm :0, I'm struggling with water consumption :l

You can split your packs and have 6 smaller meals instead of 3 standard size servings. Are you doing too much? Are you exercising?
Try and have an early night tonight. I would give your CDC a ring too and let her know whats happening.

Hi there I am on day 3. I felt a little like you yesterday - but stick to it and it will get easier...

Well done for getting to day two, its not easy! Have you looked through some of the motivational stories, slide shows and pics? Its enough to make us stick to it.

I'm on day 10 I think, and the stomach hunger really has gone, its just habbit and head hunger that I'm left with. I do still get tired though and can be caught slobbering on the sofa most evenings!!

Keep at it, looking at those that are successful it has to be worth it

xx

I can't ring my CDC as she is away this weekend and only works tuesdays to thursdays anyway. I struggle with the packs, but I do manage to get them down, the thought of doing that 6 times a day is just too much, I'll keep to 3 a day.

I'm not exercising, in fact I'm doing nothing, I'm off work this week thankfully, tried to do some housework earlier but got very light headed and just went for a lie down instead.

I have about 6 stone to lose, so a very long road ahead

Thanks :)

I lost 4 stone on a very similar diet a few years ago, so I know that it works, I was proof LOL. Just can't remember it being this hard or feeling so ill.

But, I'm determined, this FAT is coming off!! :D

I have found that drinking water does help - just try and rest once ketosis kicks in you will feel a lot better

The road may not be as long as you think, my husband started CD 21/07/08 with 6st to loose and has already lost 4st in only 8wks. You will be amazed at how fast the weight comes off once you're in ketosis

Hiya

6L is a lot of water, maybe try cutting it down to 3? I know the minimum is 2.25L but I'm wondering whether as you are drinking so much you're body is struggling a bit to cope with it and making you feel so bad?

Just an idea xx

Now on day 3

Thanks to everyone for the support. I'm now on day 3 and the headache has finally gone, but the hunger...OMG, the hunger is crippling me. I'm doubled over with hunger pains, in real pain. My mum came round earlier and was horrified at how I look. But, I refused to give in to temptation. I need this diet to work.

Please let it get easier, I don't think I can take another day like this
