Hello there,
My name is Lee, from the UK. I'm 21 years old.
I weight about 19 stone and I'm 6ft 3" tall.
I am so desperate to lose weight, I've had a look at website claiming I can lose 10lbs in a week.
I've been a visiter to the site for a while, and some of the stories on here are amazing, alot of people have done so well.

My main problem is, I just cannot stick to anything, I do it for a few days, and come weekends I spoil my good week. Then go back to normal (lots of snacking, beer, fatty fast foods)
I really want to do it this time, and hopefully with this site and the seeing other users doing well and use it to try and motivate myself, and get rid of this weight and be happy once again.

Great site!

Hello Lee :)

Welcome onboard.

Nice to meet you

Mike

To be honest I haven't got a clue.
Ideally I want to do something effective, easy and quick.
What can you suggest / advise for me?
I've never actually stuck to a diet plan, just tried cutting down on the bad foods / drinks. But as I say.. doesn't last very long.
I'm going to do it this time!!!
:D

Anything that'll shift the weight.
Going to get my bike out the shed for a start lol
I really want to go to my local Slimming World.
But don't fancy goin on my own, and being the only lad in there.
I don't know anyone else that goes. No excuse I know, but its a confidence thing.

Seems alot of people are on this CD - is there a website I can get more information about it?

Hi welcome to the forum. We all want the fast results but there is NO quick and easy solution. You need to make serious lifestyle changes for the weight to stay off for good and the plans that produce the fastest results are also the hardest to stick to. If, like me, you have problems sticking to things then you would be better off with a plan that involves healthy eating and doesn't feel like a diet like SW or WW x

Hi Lee,

I can recommend Body Optimise which is Slimming World but online based. I use it and it's working well for me so far. But to echo other sentiments here, weight loss does require a degree of self control and there's no quick and easy fix. If there was, no-one would be overweight!

I know that the snacks and beer are tempting, every week I have to go through the temptation of following the lads down the curry house for the regular Thursday night outing but I have resisted (and I really like curry). My motivation was my health, I was over 20 stone and getting out of breath just walking up stairs. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and palpitations. I looked in the mirror one day and decided did I want to stay alive or have another cake? OK, so slightly dramatic but as you're still quite young, you'll benefit so much more from making the change in your diet now rather than leaving it for years like I did. Very best of luck with whatever path you choose and there's plenty of support on this forum to help you along the way.

cheers
Wayne

wow good for you!! that shows dedication!!

Lee i would recommend slimming world too although its a long term thing the weight comes off slowly but surely. and its a lifestyle not a diet. but think of how long it took to pile the weight on its not gonna be so easy for it to come on straight away. Good luck with what you choose :)

Thanks for the advice all. Much appriciated.
And Wayne, I know exactly what you mean.
I'm going to look into the Slimming World diet online.
Will keep you all updated on my progess.

Thank you!!
