Thanks so much DQ I tried to do that all yesterday, what program do you use for it?)!! Wow now I can really see the difference, was struggling to see it before... though everyone else can!!

Thanks to everyone else for the lovely comments, I still have a long way to go but feel like I WILL get there...& if I do it will be all down to the support & help I get from all the wonderful people on this site!

I use adobe photoshop - only got it on the desktop though, not the laptop

Thanks, I was trying with Photoshop but couldn't get it to work, just got Picasa by Google & was able to create collages but not side by side like that...

Is it called 'creating a collage' by any chance or is there a better way of doing it?

Not the way I do it. I cut out the first pic and paste it into a new image. Then I double the size of the canvas, keeping the original image to the left. Cut and paste the second image beside it and resize as needed. Then save as a whole new image

Ah thanks Geri & Nadine- it's so nice to hear you are doing a good job... makes a difference when other people notice too!!

Nadine- I am quite tall (5ft 9) so I have always looked slimmer than my weight- if you know what I mean!! I'm also dressed all in black & that makes a difference he he he!!

Thanks for the comment on the hair too -brown is the blonde & if it's good enough for Cameron it's good enough for me!!! ha ha ha
