The week after AAM

I'm having cravings!!! For the first time in weeks I'm having strong cravings for comfort food. Could be a series of things, firstly I had AAM last week, and I also have a stinky cold so am feeling sorry for myself. But, I had to watch the children at school sit and eat chicken pie and mashed potato today and I could of happily pushed one of them off their chair and sunk my face in to it. Consequently the kids had to put up with a very moody teacher all afternoon and I came straight home and went to bed!
Has anyone had this the week after AAM?
Oh and it's TOTM too .... am I lucky or what?
Plus I rehearsed the school nativity today and a ladybird fell off the stage (don't ask why a ladybird is at the birth of Christ, we had 40 parts to fill).
HELP!!!

Hi Jujo doll

I am in exactly the same position as you this week, finished AAM sunday and TOM as well  .

Cravings have been evil this week. I fancy so many foods it untrue. I want CHIPS, CHOCOLATE, BOOZE, BREAD... anything I could get my teeth round really. :D

I really REALLY WANT!.

So far have resisted but have been a terrible moody cow today!! much to hubbys annoyance. Bless him.

I enjoyed my AAM week but not enjoying the consequences this weeek. !! :(

Stick with it though Juju, we can prop each other up and have a good winge together and hope we both feel better soon.

Deb x

HELP!!!

LOL!!!:D So funny!! Sorry to laugh but you sound just like me! I'm also a teacher, the week after AAM, on my TOTM and trying to rehearse our class assembly for the mums and dads (it's tomorrow!!!) and our christmas concert. I've had a VERY bad day and have been quite moody - one poor kid got it in the neck just before lunch (well... I say poor kid... he is the biggest pain in year 3... or in the whole flippin school!!).

All I can suggest is that you try to stay focused. Look at what you have done so far, think of your goals. Even though you crave the food, you don't need it - it is your stressed out mind that is needing something (would maybe have been a gin if you weren't ssing which I assume you are).

Take a step back and tell yourself you don't want it - argue with yourself. If you can keep telling yourself you dont want or need it and look forward to your goals, you should be able to get round these cravings. Good luck ;)

Thank god it's not just me. Still getting the cravings today, but they're feeling better! Plus it's nearly the weekend, so alot of drawing and colouring in for me tomorrow! Year 3 are evil i'm afraid, they're so much better when they're year 4!

Hey JujuDoll:)

My sons in year 4 and he's filling the house with jack and the beanstalk quotes and songs! I'm a teacher in a high school and we're rehearsing for the shakespeare schools festical..i think its easier in many ways when they get to high school! Hope its going OK...roll on friday eh?:p

I'm on SS but picking at chicken which does tend to lead to cravings for me its the chew factor Im afraid..Im really worried about maintaining as i failed the first time! Plus the weights coming off too too slowly now.....just try and hang in there and visualise yourself in that christmas outfit or new years eve party dress....WE CAN DO THIS and i agree that burying your head in the bed can work sometimes but other times i lay there thinking about...mainly chocolate! especially when its TOTM!

Anyway hang in there..those nativitys and sticky cottonwool snowmen will soon be a distant memory...then theres the spring term to look forward to..arghhhhh!!!

Eyes on the prize:D
