Advice needed

MunchMarie

not so str8 or narrow!!
I had a really bad day yesterday - i wasnt hungry but just wanted food which made me feel and be horrible all day. I know that just losing the weight wont sort my addiction to food out - and i'm really worried that next week is my aam and i'll lose control. Any body got any advice or any ideas of things to read to help?

the only thing i can say is that i felt exactly the same as you and was a miserable cow for the first 3-4 days, they ketosis set in and i was fine because my tummy did not rumble so i was no longer angry, try not to lose control over food, for me the CD is retraining me for the future, as and when i get to me goal weight i do not want to put any back on so i will watch what i eat and make my decision based upon the length of time it took to lose the weight

keep loggin on here as you will find others in the similar boat, also if you do feel hungry grab a drink sit in front of the computer check old posts and the time soon flies

Didn't think to say (i'm new to forums lol) but i am on day 24 and have found it relatively easy so far and i've lost 2 stone to date - until yesterday. thank you for the advice so far x munch

Hi MunchMarie,

I think we all have days like that. You can do like Dragonfly said and if that is not enough you can add another shake/soup that day. It's better than having something else. Also if you are adding anything to the soups like veggies that could be setting you off. It's better to keep it simple and bland as long as possible. Keep logging on here and reading other posts, look at the before and after photos, or go play in the arcade. Anything to keep your mind off food.

Hi Anisah honey, see you've read my blog lol!! thanks guys for the advice and the support xx Have you done an add a meal week yet? our cdc wants us to do it week 5 which starts Monday. I'm really worried i might go off the rails and I keep reading on here how difficult it is to ss after you've had food. ARGH! on the one hand i really want to do aam because i really want to eat food even if its just chicken salad but on the other hand getting excited about it sets off alarm bells about overeating and addictive behaviour which makes me worry. Does anyone know of any good books to read about food addiction?

Some people here only do AAM week after 12 weeks. If you're scared it's okay to steer clear.

yeah when we started we thought it would be every 12 weeks but my cdc wants me to do it next week (week 5) for the very reason that i am scared! she thinks it will be a good idea otherwise i might get a bit phobic of food further down the line and that ive got enough support to do it. She is a fab cdc so I trust her loads. I've just got to have a more positive attitude i suppose and just KNOW that i will be able to ss on week 6!
