Anyone else's children starting school today!!

They suddenly look so grown up!! Where did the last 4 years go!!!!

Quiet round here.....

Might but a bit of Kenny G on.....

You do tend to feel like it is the passing of an era...but in a good way :)

She did look cute in her uniform!! And she had some posh shoes with toys in them! I never got them!!!!

Anyway she ran straight in and picked up a shell and shouted that it looked like a clam shell from little mermaid and off she went....

Aww!!

My 7 Yo (sn) went into class 2 yesterday and my 4 Yo is phasing into full time. She was part time for a year now shes having a few days morning only, a couple of days morning and lunch and has her first full time day next wednesday!

Ah Bless! I had mothers sobbing on my shoulder when I taught year 6 last year that their babies were going to the end of year 6 prom and then parents sobbing at the leavers assembly cos their babies were going to big school. (Their babies were all as tall as me or taller in some cases!)
So, if you think this is bad.... :eek:p

The shoes with the things in are ace. My favourite ones are the shoes that a light flashes when they walk.

my little one is starting playschool at the end of sept, she will be nearly 4 and i have been at home with her since she was born. :(

Flashing shoes are banned in my daughters school The headmistress thinks they are too distracting WTF? Anyway she got the onews with the doll in instead.

My baby boy started 6th form today. Nice shiny shoes, and new suit.

Looked so grown up:cry:

Twas very sad, as this year he has free periods and is allowed to come home in them :cry::cry:

My biggest baby started yr 10 this morning, all 5ft 9 size 9 shoes and long hair lol! :D My youngest starts yr 3 tomorrow and she's been in tears all day because she's in a different class to her very best friend! Bless her she's always been a bit scared of the start of a new school year anyway and that just puts the 'tin hat' on it!

You what??? The kids never made a thing out of them, not even when I taught year 1.
I think the flashing shoes are sensible when it starts getting dark so early and kids are walking home from school but what would I know. I dont have children so I could possible understand apparently!;)
