I was tidying up the bedroom and sorting clothes out this evening and decided to try on some stuff I have never worn due to it being 'inspiration' but never managing to fit into....

And you won;t believe it... it ALL fits! And not just squeezing in with a muffin top or bulges... it fits PROPERLY!!! Its all size 14 stuff so I guess I can now say that my August challenge which was to be a size 14 has now been met!!

So I can now add to my wardrobe:

- a pair of O'Neill short boardshorts (sooo cute, size 34)
- a pair of Topshop black cityshorts in a 14
- a Jasper Conran size 14 bikini
- a Primark bikini (bottoms 12, top 34F)

So am well chuffed!! I needed that boost as today have felt quite low, and the scales have been moving v. slowly.. but clearly its coming off in inches and dress sizes which I have said since the beginning is more important to me than the lbs.

Hope this inspires people who are feeling like I've been... tis not all about the scales!

Fantastic - well done, I bet you feel great! x

Well done! I bet you're made up. I've got a load of my old "thin" clothes in a bag put away.
I can't wait for the day when I can fit back into them. x

Yeah it feels great :) only problem is I can't afford to get any thinner due to having no skinny clothes left... these are my skinny clothes!! I just don't have enough cash to replace all the clothes which will soon be too big with new ones :( poo! Lets hope I get this job on Tues eh!? xx

That's what E-bay's for. :) Sell the old ones, buy some new ones. I've got some fantastic 2nd hand clothes this way - in all sizes.

Well done - I know exactly how you feel as I did the same today, went through drawers and wardrobe to dig out summer clothes for my holiday on 9th.....we've had such a crap summer I haven't had the need to get much out before now, and I found stuff I'd forgotten about......all the 14s fit perfectly (to loose) and have set aside the 12s for the end of my journey......

Yayyy Minz well done you for shrinking a dress size too, you'll be a loose 12 in no time! I just wish my big clothes were of a good enough quality to sell on. Unfortunately most of them are worn out and no-one would pay for them (due to the fact that until I lost weight I avoided shopping for clothes as much as poss) so probs will just recycle them.

I know how you feel - no point splurging on new clothes when you're still shrinking.....nice treat for getting to goal though eh? Not long to go by the looks of your ticker.......:D

i cant wait till i can get into my skinny jeans with no muffin top! oh how i wish i wish i wish that was tomoro! i think i have quite a while yet.

Well done you lucky thing i am sooo :jelous: jealous....... Good luck for your interview, let us know how you do, fingers X :vibes::vibes:

well done, I too went browsing in my wardrobe as am planning to go out this saturday, I can't find anything that fits! all I dug out were my size 16's, well to buggy, size 14's, still buggy, I haven't got anything in size 12, I've just been wearing my tracks since starting the diet and am just amazed! I really need to buy a dress or jeans in a petite size 12 just for this saturday, perseph0ne do you have anything on ebay of the sort? what's you ebay id?

oh, how wonderful, you must be so chuffed!

And an excellent idea, thanks! I'll get my 'thin clothes' out of the basement this afternoon.

:) Well chaps, having tried on my clothes last night and knowing my body had burned off some fat I still couldn't understand why the scalesw weren't showing it... especially as my body water and muscle percentages were the same as normal... but THIS MORNING they are down by another 2lbs... so there you have it!! They do catch up in the end, so everyone who is feeling down after a low loss on WI or struggling to stay motivated cos the scales aren't moving, stick with it! You will get there! I am now down to 12.6! Thats less than 12 and a half stone for the first time since I can remember and means I have only 19lbs to BMI 25!! :D yayyyayyy!

well done. If you can bring yourself to it - charity shops will probably be a cheaper option - give them a quick wash and you will never know where they come from x
