As long as your a stone overweight you can do it :) and providing you have no serious health issues either and havent given birth recently

No health issues, my "baby" is nearly 4 and more than a stone to lose- thanks- for the reply I can look forward to starting soon then

Looking at your BMI and Height/weight, I don't think you will be able to do SS as you need to be a stone overweight, which you aren't. If you want to do Cambridge you would have to do either 810 or above due to your current weight, which you can still lose weight quickly on... although have you considered any other diets? x

I lost all my baby weight doing WW and maintained for over 2 years- however I have had a difficult year this year and have put over a stone on. It sounds silly but this stone doent want to go. I am apple shaped and look pregnant again. I feel that I need to break the bad habits that have slipped back in and omitting food for a period of time seems to me the best way to do it. that way I will have my body back and will have retrained my brain back to my healthy ways. I guess if she advises no then I will look at other options

Awww hun I can imagine how not being able to shift that weight must feel, but to do SS you need to have at least a stone to go to get to BMI 25 and you have only a few lbs. As I say, you could do 810 no problem which is almost the same except you have a small meal restricted in calories and only protein and veg/salad so its almost the same as cutting out food altogether but means you just eat a little. The rule applies because if you were to do SS at your weight, your body would not be breaking down only fat, but also lean mass, which is very unhealthy. If your CDC allows you to do SS then its a bit worrying! 810 would be fine tho xx

Many thanks for the respones, I shall expect her to say no to SS then and start reading up on the other plan before I meet up to now what to be ready for.

Thanks again

You're welcome, wishing you the best of luck in shifting that stubborn stone... you will do it on CD if you stick to it, that's a promise! xx

810 is great  As wannabslim says, SS nor SS+ wouldn't be allowed. You can 810 to goal

very best of luck :)

Good luck with 810, I am sure your last stone will be off before you know it! x

Well I went to see a cdc today and she measured my BMI as 27 so I am starting on SS tomorrow. I am so excited!! cant wait to feel those lbs melting away
