I'v just made a cottage pie for my partner and kids. I'v made it from scratch i would normally buy one of them that you just put in oven or microwave. I'm very tempted to try it but i'm not gonna it does look very good though. I'm loving cooking now i'm on LT does anyone else like cooking now and they didn't before?

I haven't actually cooked since I live alone and therefore have no need to but I have noticed that I want to cook stuff, and properly cook it like you've said - from scratch. I never normally want to be in the kitchen so this is certainly a turn up for the books!

I hate cooking normally i'd just bung some chips and chicken nuggets/fish fingers in the oven for the kids but since being on lt they'v been having proper dinners almost everyday.

Do you think LT has made you more aware of what you're putting into your body as well as what you're kids are having? I'd say that's a definite positive thing! :)

God yeah i used to buy loads of crap sweets and stuff they do still have the odd treat but my eldest prefers fruit to sweets he always has take him to shop and he'l ask for strawberries or grapes not sweets so i'm trying to get other 2 into fruit they'r only babies 22months and 9months but they're lovin the fruit aswell now. I dont force it on them but i give it them instead of sweets and tbh because they'r so young they dont actually know its not sweets if you know what i mean. They also like their veg if i make them chips and nuggets they wont enjoy it as much as if i make them veggies and meat etc. So its all good!!

Training 'em up when they're tiny, good stuff hun! Starting young will only enforce good habits with food as they grow older :) Good on you! xx

Well not only that but i want the whole family to starting eating healthier now cos that way it will be easier for me to maintain healthy eating whan i'v reached my target. I dont want to get back into bad habits so its better for me to change things now for the whole family.

Definitely sweetie. With such an attitude the whole family will be gorgeous and oh so healthy!! xx

Well done for not giving into your temptations.. I have always been particular with what the children eat always encourage the healthy option because don't want them growing up like there mum, but def could do better with there main meals but they are so fussy with there meals x

My eldest is quite fussy he does like most things he loves fruit and veg but some meals i cook i have to cook him something different. I made lasagne yesterday he wouldn't eat it so had to make him something different. The cottage pie went down well though. I'm deciding what to cook tomorrow. Any ideas??

Well done you for not dipping in :)
I have to cook cos even tho hubby is on it (& I must say his chicken shakes smell gorgeous but I cant stomach them lol) I still have 4 kids ages 16,11,2&1 to cook for. I find it quite hard cos babies eat earlier than big ones & sometimes I end up cooking 3 different sessions so resisting once is hard enough. Plus babies leave things & thats a killer for me or even just licking my fingers when I remove that oh so melted choc bic outta their hand :) BUT I havent done it as I know it would lead to bigger & badder things.
Keep it up hun you are doing fantastic

I have just bought in lots of supplies for my other half and he has done it for himself (the first time in 8 years that he has cooked for himself)

I have found that I am looking at my cookbooks with more interest and feel that when I am off this diet I want to really cook, not just 'make it out of packets' hahahahahah, maybe it's because I want when I cook again for it to mean something, for it to be wholesome!

Well done Lucy, mmmmm cottage pie sounds yummy!

I often make lasagne for my 3 children, which we all love, and it smells so nice when it is cooking but a good sniff and I'm fine! Mine have always eaten lots of veg but my eldest is a pain where fruit is concerned! She barely touches it! Teenagers!!!

I do enjoy cooking most of the time for them and love baking with them so we have made of lots muffins, cakes and cookies lately, which they love as well.

I have always loved cooking but now that im on LT i spend all weekend cooking yummy meals for my OH and lovely cakes and treats he says that if i carry on cooking so much food that he will need lipotrim lol .
it gives me something to do with my time at the weekends its great and i never ever taste a thing

Well i'm proud of myself i didn't even lick the spoon lol. The cookies look and smell divine but i'm not having and tbh they look too good to eat haha

Yeah i have also been very particular about what my son eats, because i also, didn't want him to follow in my footsteps, and also don't force him to finish a meal if he's full, but then that means no fruit or yog after, as how could he eat it if he's full?;)

I've always cooked and don't mind it even when im on this, but i can't bear to watch them eat it...that really is too much for me. i have also changed the way i cook in that even though i never buy ready meals, i used to always buy dolmio sauces etc but now i make it with the fresh ingredients from scratch!

The worst of this was when me and my son made pizza, he was so proud and really wanted me to try it, it made my heart melt but i just couldn't do it! i stayed strong and told him it was for him and daddy only!

Well done guys for being so strong, we are all reaping the benefits of this everyday, and are looking gorgeous!!
