Hi all my blenders broke. I wont be able to buy a new one till the weekend. Would it be ok to use my Kenwood Frothie thingy? Does anyone else use one of these to mix their shakes? Do they mix ok?

Oh dear! No idea about the frothy thingy as I don't know what one is but I'd say give it a go. Failing that can you not take a quick trip to a health shop and pick up a shaker?

I dont drive and my partner works all week so not be able to get to town till the weekend. I will try it. Its a contraption thats used for making frothie coffees and milkshakes etc so i'm thinking it should be ok. will try it later. Oh and i just made one of them chocolate muffins omg its gone straight in the bin!!!

Oh from that recipes thread? Yeah I tried a couple of things from that and they were just wrong lol. Well all you can do is give it a go. I doubt it'll be any worse than if you were to just use a fork. Do you have a balloon whisk or an egg whisk? Apparently those are quite good for mixing shakes x

Yeah from recipes thread i dont think i'l be trying anything else though and wasting my shakes. I do like the latte's and mint choc but i'l give the others a miss quite fancy giving the bar of chocolate a go but after tasting the muffin i imagine it will taste similar yuck!!!.
I do have a egg whisk which i forgot i had lol if all fails with the Frothie maker i'l give that a go thanx hun xx

No probs chica, good luck :)

 Phewww I wondered what was wrong with Howdy then, but you said 'blender broke' not bender bloke:p;):D

Hi Lucy,

I do sympathise as my blender sometimes refuses to work if it overheats!!!!! Also, when I visited my sister she told me she had a blender then realised it was somewhere in the loft and couldn't find it! Fortunately I have a Tupperware shaker which I had with me and it really does the job. It is similar to the shakers you get in health shops or with protein drinks and always works when the blender doesn't! It is also useful if you go out for the day. If you go on ebay then look for a Quickshake or just shaker in Tupperware and you'll be okay. May not get any sooner now but always useful for the future.

Good luck hun.

x
