Hi Babe,

Have you started LT? Im sure if u do LT then you wont need to get gastric band?! This diet rocks - it will change ur life and u will loose weight soooo easily! All u need is the determination to make it happen and the vision of why you are doing it and who you want to become... if you got that babe - LT does the rest!

Good luck
xox

LT is Lipotrim hun. Everyone on this particular forum is on that diet. x

hey laura,im a 'young newbie' as well! this is day six of my lipotrim diet, finding it hard but it gets easier.im orla, 25yrs from belfast and im a student teacher. ive had a wght problem all my life and have tried numerous weight loss methods, which some have worked but have been hard to maintain. so ur going for a gastric band? yeah, i bet ur nrevous, that ispretty normal, lol.what has made you decide con this?looking 4ward to chatting!!xx

Lipotrim is a TFR programme (Total Food Replacement). You have 3 shakes per day, NO FOOD and only water/black tea/black coffee. It is available through some GPs and pharmacies. You get weighed every week when you get your new supply of shakes.

LT advise that those sticking to the diet 100% should lose about 1 stone every 4 weeks and heavier people tend to lose more.

Hope that has helped.

hummm ive never heard of it before ive heard of lighter life

i chose to have a band because im sick of being the fat one and at 24 enough is enough.lol lets do our journey together hunnie. i was obrn in belfast woop woop still have loads of family there x

It's substantially cheaper than LL

heya hun, welcome to minmins :) best of luck with whatever you decide to do. im on CD it is like LT but it just has more flavours to it :) x

i totally understand where ur coming from when u say ur at the end of ur tether!! i have been there and im still not too steady, lol. but only u can decide what is best for u and whatever that is, i look forward to us supporting each other!:)

Welcome Laura. My friend had a gastric band fitted and one year later looks fantastic. I did consider one but didn't really want to go the surgical route coz I have 3 children and didn't want to risk it. Also, financially it was a no-no as there was no way I could find the £7k it cost my friend to have fitted.

You are young and deserve to be gorgeous and slim (I'm sure you are gorgeous anyway!)

All the best hun.

x

hey thank you for the message cuddley fairy im having mine on the nhs my dr is fantastic and a real support to me as it was her idea to have it i weight around 21 stone and would be comfortable to weight between 12 and 13 its not much to ask is it lol x

Welcome aboard Laura :) I'm just down the road from you @ Southsea, Portsmouth :)

Good luck with the gastric band... I personally see it as extreme but then I've had many people look aghast at me when I tell them I've not eaten since May so it's all relative :D

All the very best with whatever you choose :) x

hi hunni i am not far from you, how are you? dont be too nervous hun i am sure you will be just fine hun i know a couple of people who have had a gastric band fitted one lady up my school the weight is just falling off her. good luck hun and let us know how things go x

No Laura, it isn't a lot to ask and I'm sure you will achieve your goal. From what my friend says, the band makes your stomach smaller so you really have to make sure you eat healthily. If you overeat it will stretch your stomach and you are back where you started.

What a great GP you have. I'm glad you don't have to pay.

I am also hoping to lose 9 stone in total and am two-thirds of the way there. I feel I have been regenerised and have a new lease of life. I am older than you and just wish this diet was around for me years ago as it is the best decision I have ever made.

Good luck with the surgery and do keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

x
