Hi there
I did CD last year, did really well - lost 7 stone by xmas 07 - but unfortunately developed gall stones which went really bad, caused me to be on the emergency op list, but ended up in hospital loads between jan and march this year with infected gallbladder, pancreatitis, liver and kidney failure... until they were finally able to remove the GB on March 11th... then on good friday was rushed in again with a blood clot in my abdomen from the op - so all in all, a rubbish year, i obviously had to come off the diet and wait until i my bloods had gone back to normal to return - so as of early july i came back.

last year, when i hit the 15 stone, it was the most annoying zone, as i seemed to be stuck in it for the longest.

when i returned i weighed 16 stone - was quite gutted that i had gained 3.5 stone - but not surprised, as i had been house/bed bound for a really long time - and then in march they discovered that my thyroid had crashed massively - but i was too ill for the medication to help it, i also had to come off metformin which i take to help with pcos - so everything went to pot really.

i have struggled with my body not losing any actual weight for the last two weeks - this week i think due to TOTM - but i have lost inches, so i know its shifting...

I'm predominately on SS - occasionally SS+ to enable a cup of tea with milk...

this weekend i'm off to greece to visit my parents who moved there 7 yrs ago - so my case will be packed with shakes and tetras...

i am hoping that when i return in two weeks i will have smashed through the 15 stone barrier so i can wave goodbye to it for good!!!

look forward to chatting with you all.

Amanda

It really does sound like you've had a year of it but given your past sucess I'm sure you'll get right back into it. I joined last year. Cut down a bit half heartedly. But this time I'm back with a vengance (against my weight, not anyone on here, everyone here is lovely!)

Good luck and keep us up to date. And have a fabulous time in Greece. x

Good luck with CD :)
