The month will be to your advantage - it will give ou time to fuly prepare yourself both pyhysically and mentally for the diet. Use the time to start cutting down on carbs - will make the climb in to ketosis so much easier for you, and also use the time to wrap your head right around what you are embarking on....realy get to grips with giving up food, and knowing it is possible in all situations, and that you canand will succeed on the last diet you do!

Good luck to you!!

Hi Emzski -

I, too, had a long wait of around three and a bit weeks - I was terrified that I wouldn't keep the momentum up to stay focused and psyched up to do it; but the time has flown by and I start in just 4 days! Woop woop!

I didn't take the advice of fellow Minimins and cut down on the carbs - in fact I have been eating pretty much everything I fancy, just because I can! Doh! Probably not the best idea... in the process I think I have put an extra pound or two on, oops! :( If you can give up carbs it should really help. I did Atkins a few years ago, which also works on the basis of ketosis, and it makes perfect sense that the quicker the body can burn off any carbs, the quicker it can move on to burning off body fat (which is the plan, after all!)

Another thing that really helped me bridge the gap was keeping on top of forums like this - checking out people's progress, looking at before and after pics etc. Really inspirational.
