Forgot to introduce myself!!!

Hi everyone,

Just thought i have been posting threads asking advice and have not really said anything about myself!!

I am 21 at the end of this month and have been unhappy about my weight for a good year and a half. When i was 16/17 i was a size ten and very into my exercise then i met my OH!!

Think you girls will know what i mean when i say once you get comfortable in a relationship you start to relax your eating habbits?? or maybe thats just me!

It was not just being in a happy relationship though, i started to get really naughty eating load of junk and promising myself i would start being good again monday and of course never happened.!!!

Before i knew it i was bout 2 stone bigger and although my relationship was thriving my self confidence plummeted!I have recently moved to Norfolk with my OH and am settling in well but it was a bit of a shock to begin with being away from my F&F but we both felt we needed a change and wanted to make a better future for ourselves, since moving i have become much more independant but have also turned to food for comfort on occasions of stress or when im missing my family (although i do have a sister here).

My OH never judges me and always says i look beautiful but until i feel happy about my size i wont feel like that about myself.

Now i am really settled in my new job and new city, happy & i feel like im ready to tackle my weight and food issues and start to feel good about myself again!!

I have been reading though alot of your posts over the last few days and i know i am going to find your support
invaluable!!

I look forward to getting to know you all more!...

Hey there and welcome Linds. I totally know what you mean about getting comfy with your OH and putting on weight, it happened to me too. Good for you for taking positive steps to change that and I look forward to seeing how you get on. Its a really friendly bunch here btw.xxx

hey there, wlcome to WWtchers!my story is similar to urs except I have a baby in the equasion!! haha good luck, you will love weight in no time!! xx

thanks everyone.... your baby is gorge!!!! i just feel like if i dont do this now as im turning 21 soon i never will, just wanna be in control of my weight and not have it control me!

Sounds sad but i cant wait for the day when i can go into a fashionable clothes store and try things on that actually looks nice and get excited like i used to!

Always used to be "oh there was bad lighting in the changing room" or "they never do anything i like" lol...truth is i wouldnt have been happy with anything because i was/am not comfortable at the size i am at!

For my 21st instead of prezzies i have asked f&f for either money or vouchers so that once im at my goal i can have a huge shopping spree for loadsa new clothes, cant wait its been such a long time since i went clothes shopping successfully..

Thats me all over Linds, i avoid clothes shopping like the plague, I have loads of clothes in my wardrobe but i dont wear half of them cos i dont like the way they fit so they are staying put until i lose a bit more. I feel silly going into places like Topshop where i highly doubt there is anything that will fit me there and feel embarrassed that the shop assistants are thinking "why is she even bothering to go in there" when all i go in for is accessories or to accompany my sister! lol.

Good luck with your ww journey, keep us informed of how you get on and a shopping spree sounds like the right thing to spur you on! x
