Losses slowing down...

jabbathehut

This is the last time!!
In my first 4 weeks I lost 23lbs, which I was thrilled with. Now I'm on week 7 and have only lost 9lbs between my 4th weigh in and yesterday's...it doesn't even look like I'll make the 14lbs in 4 weeks thing that Cambridge usually delivers :(
I understand that the first few weeks will have a significant drop in weight, but I am a bit gutted that on a lot of other people's losses in their sigs I see that they are still having a good 4-5lb off a week, and mine have trailed off.
I am being really good, with only 1 'wobble' last Weds, but that was it. I'm drinking loads, am in ketosis....what can I do? Hubby is home in just over 2 weeks and I really wanted to be less than I am now:cry:
I go to away tomorrow for a week, come back next Weds, have my WI on Weds evening, then CDC is away for 2 weeks, so it's going to be tricky to keep track of my losses. I do intend to stick to my SS in UK, but the reason I wanted to weigh less for hubby coming back is cos I wanted to have one or 2 meals out with him, it's not looking likely now.
Anyone got any inspiration for me please?

Firstly please don't get disheartened....I know really tough! You must try not to compare your losses to others.
Try hard to look at the big picture, you have lost almost a stone in a month....wouldn't have done that on any "food" diet.
Don't know if I can give you any inspiration, but I do have one piece of advice....be really careful about coming off the diet for any reason especially when you are feeling disheartened...coming out of ketosis is very tough and trying to get back into it is so difficult, and if the mind set is not right impossible.
If I had a pound for every post I have read since Christmas about people who wish they hadn't come off for a holiday or a night out I could be a very rich person now.
Keep going...get to goal....feel like a success...no better feeling....better than that meal out you missed out on...don't even remember my missed meals now...but I bet I would have done if I had eaten!

Awww dont be disheartened hun, you are doing great hun you have lost more or less the same as me 32lbs in 7wks (took me 8wks) is fab thats more than 14lb a month hunni.xx

Keep up the fab work, have a great trip.xx

I know what you're saying ref the not giving in and eating, but my hubby has been away since May 15th, and will only be here for 10 days or so, then goes back to Iraq until Christmas. When I said a meal or 2 I didn't mean junky rubbish food, I doubt my body could cope with it to be honest! But, I'd like to go out and enjoy an evening or 2 with him, would prob stick to chicken and salad. But don't feel I can do that unless I am closer to 14 stone. I suppose I'll have to see how things go.

I know my losses so far have been great, when you tot them up over teh 7 weeks, but it is hard to see them slowing right down. Luckily, I don't find the diet difficult, and I am incredibly stubborn and determined so there's no way I'd give up and blow out, it's just hard to stay positive some days.

i know hun, i felt the same last week with just losing 1lb but it will even out hunni.xx

I know I have days when positive thinking has left the house....but keep strong...Good luck Hun

i'd say ( and people will prob tell me off!!) but go and have you meal with him regardless of what you weigh.
enjoy your husband while he's here, when he goes back to iraq (what a fantastic man - you must be so proud) then youve got untill xmas to concentrate on lossing weight,
like you said, dont go mad, but enjoy it.
you 2 as a couple is more important. plenty of time after to lose loads of weight.
enjoy him. xx

I agree with Maria. You have the right frame of mind not to go and have a binge fest so enjoy your time with your husband. You can start up again as soon as he leaves and you'll look incredible when he sees you again.
