I need a kick up the bum!!

Hi Im new on here,

I did the CD a few years ago after the birth of my daughter and did fine on it...then over the last few years its crept back on and im now 14st 5lbs... I really want to lose weight im fed of being fat!! But this time im finding it so hard Im fine in the day and dont mind the shakes but 5 oclock comes and I cant stand it anymore and eat!!! then im so diappointed in myself:mad: and swear tommorow will be a new day!!
any tips on how to fight the urge???
Ive read some of your stories and you have all done fantastic!!

Every time you feel like eating, drink a glass of water instead :) I find sparkling water more satisfying :)
Some people split their packs and have 6 smaller amounts through the day :)
If evening is your worst then you could have a whole pack in the morning, then two half packs, say late morning and late afternoon which you leave you another one for the evening(you can choose whether you split it or not) :)
Once you're on week 3 you can have the bars. Cut them into pieces and put them in the fridge to make them harder to chew. they're good for eating through the evening :)
 
Welcome onboard Laura, you've come to the right place, there is loads of support and advice to be found here!

Well done for taking the first steps and please don't be too hard on yourself. Have you considered maybe starting on a higher plan which will allow you some food and working down to SS, ease yourself back in.

Thanks girls!! Ive sucessfully completed a whole day on ss and dont feel to bad, ive been really busy today so that has helped!!! and im just going to keep looking at this site in the evening to remind me that it can be done!!!
Also I get really paronid about my breath cause Im in contact with people all day and sometimes that why I eat cause my mouth taste awful!!! can you freely chew chewing gum???

Not sure about the gum but I have a little breath freshener spray i bought in superdrug with me and if my breath feels yuck I have a quick spray and its very refreshing!

me too, i will wake up with determination then around 4h30 - 5pm. i feel like if i dont eat, i will die and i go and eat eat eat until nothing is left in the frigde:cry:.

now by 3pm i am out with the kids till 6pm, going windows shopping , to the park or something, anything as longer i am away from food.
plan my day.

any leftover food from the family, i bin straight away, clean the place, pot remove every trait and smell of food, close the kicthen door. and when all this fail, i just log on minimins, read stories and say to myself. yes i can do it.
you are not alone , i know what you are going through, don't give up, don't be disappointed, push through, you can do it...:)
