Anyone ever tried this?

Wants to be a yummy mummy
I have had an idea and I am wondering if anyone has ever tried this on here and wondering if you think it would work....

Alternating a week of weight watchers followed by a week of slimming world, and keep going like that?

what do you think?
I am just thinking that then you get a week of eating loads on slimming world, but before you get too bored of it all, you can have a week of weight watchers where you can eat more conventional foods but more limited.

Do you think it would work?

Answers on a postcard! thanks!

The Core plan is essentially using the slimming world free foods, but no red or green days, during your mealtimes and then limiting your snacking in between - I find i can eat more flexibly on it than on SW, and so far it's working really well for me - Why not try that first?

Personally I think it would be better to stick to one plan or another, just to give you consistency rather than chopping and changing and confusing your body.

That said, if it works for you then it's probably worth a shot!

Hi ThinLizzy

I've never tried it, but I was on SW last week (for 1 week only) and this week I'm on Core. I'm not thinking of alternating at all, but I'll let you know if I lose.

I don't see what harm it can do, but perhaps someone on here will think of a reason why it's not such a great idea. It may be detrimental to the metabolism?

The only thing I can think of is that your body may take longer than a week to settle into a way of eating, if you know what I mean.

Sorry, after all that, not much help!

Christine

You can alternate on a weekly basis between Core and points, which is what I am doing.

There is a core food list here My Long and Bumpy Journey | A new me in 2007

The main difference between core and SW (apart from the food list is slightly different) is that you eat three times a day. Outside of those three meals a day you can only snack on 0 point food (veg, sf jelly etc) and fruit - oh and WW Fruities which you can buy from classes.

You have 21 points a week to 'spend' on snacks and treats.

yeah i think that u shud best stick to the core plan, ur meals are more satisfying and u can mix and match the meat and carbs as oppose to just eating meat one day and then potatoes etc another,
also my friend was doing really well on slimming world, eating mainly the green days, she lost loads of weight but then one morning out of the blue her belly just seemed to pop out, bloated from the carbs she had been eating, and to be honest she looked a lot better then before she had even started dieting. for ur body u should really have a mixture of both, its more satisfying and it does work. also if u go to www.weightwatchers.com u should get some really helpful information on there.
hope all goes well for u hun, keep us posted

My weight watchers leader recons you can do a week of core followed by a week counting points as long as you stick to one or the other for a whole week. Never tried it though.
