O/T has anyone been watching the whale?

Just wondering if anyone is as fasinated as me by the whale that's stranded itself near Portsmouth (the locals have named him Billy)?
I'm tempted to drive down there and see it but I think it would upset my daughter to much because it looks like they're going to have to put it down.
