quorn mini scotch eggs xxx

hi there,

I bought some of the NEW quorn mini scotch eggs that were featured in this months sw mag and couldnt wait to post to tell you how gorgeous they are.

They're 1 syn each on either day and very tasty.

The only thing is though, I just read the storage details and it says that once opened they must be eaten within 24 hours:eek:

Has anyone ever eaten them after a couple of days and not been ill??

I really don't want to use all my syns to eat scotch eggs, but don't want to bin them either coz they're £2.29. I hate to waste.

i never go with the sell by/storage dates....if its green and smelly give it the welly, if it looks ok save it another day

lol

pmsl bunny :D

sounds good to me;)

will have to memorise your saying, it made me giggle.

can you not freeze them????

not sure about freezing them, don't think it says you can on the packet.

I've wrapped the open packet in a sandwich bag so should be ok til tomorrow maybe.

You gotta keep looking for them girls, they're really nice.

i bloody love them!!! the only place i can get them is sainsburys, which is fine by me as there's one across the road from me.

my boyfriend even likes them and says they taste like the real thing, except they're a little chewier than meat ones.

i keep mine in the fridge but wrap them in an airtight bag, so they stay fresh. if you leave the pack open they dry out. i've eaten them over 4 days before and been fine.

Ohh just got them for the first time they are so nice. They are fab for a snack if you are hungry between meals I just had 4 and I am quite full now. For just 1 syn each I will defo be getting these again :D

ok random question are they scotch eggs where the egg is whole or are they the kind where the egg is all mushed up inside ?? not too keen on mushed up egg ones

I mainly get mine from Sainsbury's but I have ordered them from either Asda or Tesco in my online shop (can't remember which one though, d'oh!). They taste fantastic! If you go onto their online grocery stores, type it in the 'search' box and it should tell you whether they stock them, just an idea :)
