Advice on CD Packs please :)

Loopy_Lou

Just about on the wagon!
Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine.

I have decided that I can't CD anymore. I'm not in the right place and I don't feel it is right for me. I did CD properly over a year ago and lost 50lbs, and then put it all back on plus 5 for good measure. I know it works and it's a fantastic diet, but it's not right for me. I need to address why I eat how I do, and I've started doing this through hypnosis. It's really working and yes it's really slow (which is hard after being used to the amazing CD losses) but I've now lost 6lbs in 2 weeks and I'm eating 'normally'. My mind is being reprogrammed to not 'need' all the junk I used to give myself.

Anyway, I have lots of CD packs, bars and tetras left and I don't know what to do with them. My CDC isn't too friendly, she just leaves a pile of them at my door for me, and won't come out weekly as it's out of her way, so I have to buy 4 wks at a time. If I asked her to come and buy them back I dread to think what the reaction would be. I don't know if I should put them on ebay, as people might think they are dodgy, and I can't really afford to have 3 weeks worth of CD packs if I'm not using them.

Can anyone tell me what I should do with them?

Thanks,

L xx

well i am sure your cdc is obliged to buy them back... or at least should do, as long as its within a certain time period and they are in date and good condition!

i hope someone who is better informed than me will add more!

i am sure it is part of our role as cdc to refund unused products.

hope this helps.

if this is not the case, maybe tell us all what you have and where you are and maybe someone will buy them from you.

im sure cdc's should be prepared to refund unused product within 14 days

Thanks for your replies guys - I'm in NW London (Camden).

Unfortunately, because I have to buy 4 weeks at a time and I bought a few lots, I'm over the 14 days refund time. So does that mean I can't do anything?

Anyway, I've just been and made a list of what I have and their best before dates:

Bars:
6 x choc bbe 21/1/09
8 x cranberry bbe 24/1/09
1 x toffee bbe 7/2/09
5 x peanut bbe 13/2/09
Tetras:
12 x banana bbe 17/10/08
9 x choc bbe 6/11/08
Shakes:
3 x choc orange bbe Jan 09
1 x choc orange bbe Feb 09
4 x choc orange bbe 7/7/09
3 x vanilla bbe 9/4/09
5 x vanilla bbe 29/10/09
Soups:
7 x mushroom bbe 12/6/09
8 x chicken + mushroom bbe 25/5/09
6 x chilli bbe 27/5/09

So you can see I've got 78 packs (yikes!) which is why I'd prefer to sell them and get some money back.

Has anyone else had this situation before?

All help gratefully received :sign0163:

I see where you're coming from, but it would be going against the principles that I'm paying a hypnotist to put into my head! :D For the past 2 weeks I've been going to the gym every morning, eating fruit and veg and chicken and fish, and I've not once felt hungry or deprived or "on a diet" and I'm losing weight naturally. To then start bringing in packs which in my head are "a diet" is against what I'm trying to do. Still, it looks like there's going to be no option but to bite the cost of all the packs/bars/tetras I have. I have to say I am disappointed with my CDC as she never weighs me, won't come weekly, and it costs me a fortune to buy so many in bulk. I assume that CD HQ wouldn't buy my packs, so I really am stuck even though they're all good until next year (except the tetras). It's a shame as it's not been the way I would have liked to have ended things with CD. :sigh:

I do understand. I too do the healthy eating thingy;) and hate to include 'diet' foods because of the mindset.

If I had that many though, and didn't want to see my ex-cdc, I would probably imagine they weren't diet foods IYKWIM....just another healthy food.

I do have an idea though...and a ethical one.

I'll pm you.

Loopy,
Why not contact HO, I know they will be interested in your experiences with your CDC as they are trying to improve how customers see CD. I doubt if they will be able to help with buying back.

Also I like the idea of using them up, think of it as a nutritional suplement alongside your healthy diet rather than diet food - I did this whilst pregnant as I felt the need to have "healthy" options

Good luck

As mentioned before the packs can be used as a nutritional supplement not a "diet" as such.

However, you should contact your CDC regarding this. The maximum amount a CDC is allowed to supply is 4 weeks at a time and from reading your earlier post it looks as though you bought more than 4 weeks supply?

Contact the CDC and ask for a refund on the unused packs, especially if you were sold more than you were supposed to at one time.

If the CDC is not prepared to help you contact CD Head Office for advice.

CD cannot be sold on Ebay any more due to the medical implications.

I didn't realise CD cant be sold on ebay anymore, I suppose it's better really as it means people can't do it unsafely.

I hope you can find a solution soon x

Thanks everyone. I did buy more than 4 weeks, and I have emailed my CDC but she's not replied. I didn't think she would. Last time my order was missing a few soups and I emailed her, again she ignored me. Good job though or I would have had even more now!! :p

I'm giving her until Friday am which will be 5 days, and then I will contact HO and see if they can help in any way.

Thanks for your input everyone and good luck with your journey! :D:D:D
